I turned around tapping the snooze button and turning back around.
3 mins later
"Get up Genesis" Jasun came through the door.
"I'm up. I'm up" I said purposely rolling myself off the bed to wake myself up.
"Every morning?" My father peaked his head in the door.
"Yep" i thumbed him up and fixed my bonnet.
I got in the shower getting dressed lotioning myself, threw on my sports bra and then a hoodie over it and my basketball shorts.
I put on my earrings, necklaces and rings before taking the rings and half the necklaces off leaving just the earrings and name plate necklace.
I tidied up my room and my bathroom and headed downstairs for breakfast.
"What you having?" Jasun asked taking about breakfast.
"I'll just have a banana. The bus is here" I said grabbing a banana and slipping on my crocs running out to the bus.
I really need a car. I whispered to myself getting on the bus heading to the back.

I hummed along to H.E.R as I looked out the window.
"That nigga never ready for school" I heard Que loud ass mouth.
"Forreal. Look at the nigga head" Rell laughed along.
I chuckled at it cause really. He always looks like he doesn't want to go to school.
"He not sitting with me" i heard one of the middle schoolers chuckle.
I rolled my eyes and stood up.
"Y'all be od'ing. Scoot over and let the boy sit down" I said and the girl scooted over and the boy sat down.
"I don't know why they do that. Like look at this bus, it's packed. You're not finna have a seat to yourself damn" Mia said.
"Exactly. They wanna be grown so damn bad but do childish ass shit. Grow up" I said turning up the volume.
"That's big nique little brother. I don't know why they be playing with him cause his sister crazy". I scrunched my face up at what Que just said.
"That makes no sense Que" I told him.
"Geni. Why you even up here? Wait why are you on a bus even? Ain't you a senior?"
"Tomato tomato" i said to him chuckling and sitting back in my seat putting my other airpod in.
"Who you got first block G?" "I got Ms Taye. You?" "Oliver ole stinking ass" "oh yeah, I forgot you told me that" I nodded heading towards F building.
"Morning Ms Woods" "hey Ms Taye". I went and sat at my seat and put my head down until she started instructions.
"It's Friday, it's a free day. Do whatever. I don't care, not really. If y'all have work complete it. I do not mind calling y'all out and y'all know it" Ms Taye announced.
"And NO, you cannot leave the class for the first 10 mins"
Everybody looked at Erin who slowly put her hand down.
I chuckled cause it was funny. She does it everyday.
Pulling out my laptop, I completed the 2 missing assignments I had missing from my other 2 classes then laid my head down.
"Geni" ms Taye called out
I lifted up.
"You did all your work?" She asked being funny.
"Your already know I did"
"I know. I just wanted to mess with you".
She waved her hand for me to come over to her desk.
I sat at her desk in one of her spinny chairs.
"So what's tea?" "Whatchu mean?" "You ready for May 28th?" She asked referring to graduation.
"Yesss. I'm ready to go" "You going to prom?" "I don't know yet" "why not, you should go" she said playfully nudging me.
"I don't know who I'm going to go with" "Geni. All them boys you got and you talking bout you don't know who you going to go with" I rolled my eyes and mugged her playing.
"Now you know"
"Whhaat? I got a handsome nephew. He can take you" she said showing me a picture of her nephew.
He was adorable but...
"Now Ms Taye. You know I don't like boys" "You don't have to like him" "I get that. I jus want to go to prom with somebody I do like though"
She nodded her head.
"I understand girl. That just mean you have to put yourself out there then" she said softly pinching my thigh.
"I be trying" I lied.
"So just let her come to you then" she said.
I nodded my head. "Thanks for the advice" I said.
"No problem. Whatchu doing for 4th block since you don't have one?" "Probably get my stepdad to come get me" I shrugged.
"You not tutoring today?" "Naahh. My show coming on tonight"
Ms hayes nodded and India came to sit on her desk.
"Indi get your stanking butt off my desk" she swatted at her.
I chuckled and got up.
"Here. Can I go to the bathroom?"
Ms Taye nodded her head and I left out.
After going to all my classes, I went home and took a nap sleeping til 9:50 causing me to stay up til around 2.
