"Can they leave now? It's been 24 hours, im good dang" geni complained laying on my arm.

"You know they not gonna listen"

"Go tell them please?" She said grabbing my face bring my nose to hers.
"No ma'am. That's on you" I said kissing her nose then getting up.
"To be real, I don't know why they doing all this. I'm not even all that important" she said making me turn to her.
"You are important" I reassured her and continued to the bathroom.
She does this thing of bringing herself down and I don't like that shit. At all.
"Come on brush ya teeth man" I told her as she crept behind me.
"Goodmorning y'all" i announced as we walked into the kitchen.
"How'd y'all sleep?" Gens mama asked.
"Good. When are y'all leaving?" Geni blurted.
Everybody gasped. Even me.
"I swear I didn't mean it like that. I swear. It's just.. I- we need our space back. I want my girlfriend to myself now" she tried to back herself.
"We just here to make sure you good" Jasun said.
A bunch of 'mhm hmms' and 'yeps' went around.
"I'm good. Fine actually. Y'all see?"
"Yeah baby. We'll give y'all y'all's space" niques mama said.
"We will" Jasun said.
"Thank y'all. Ma?"
"GG I lost you once. Lost you again. I do not want to lose you again so.. I'm sorry. No"
"Ma I swear we'll- im good"
I looked over at her as she wiped a falling tear.
"Ma im good. I swear" geni pleaded.
I love Genis mom but sometimes she can be extra. Right now though, I can tell she wasn't. She actually meant it anc I felt it.
I don't wanna lose her again. Never ever again.
"Nique said you weren't eating. Now that I think about it I haven't seen you pick up anything since we've been here"
"Alright. We can have a family dinner. Or lunch whatever before y'all go. Will you trust us then?. "
She stood for a minute then nodded.
"Only if i can cook most of the food"
"Shit aint got to say another damn thing. I don't feel like cooking " Jasun said looking satisfied.
That man a fool I tell ya. That's why he my favorite.
"Oh Jasun hush. You couldn't out cook me if you wanted to"
Jasun swiped her off and looked our way.
"So we going to the grocery store?" I asked.
"Yeah." G's mama agreed.
People separated into places to get ready.
"Was that so hard?" I asked turning to Geni who look as if she shitted herself and cleaned it up.
"Yes".
I kissed her forehead and we went into my room to get ready like everyone else.
"Baby this finna be a long night" geni semi complained.
"I know. It'll all be worth it at the end" i assured her rubbing her thigh.
"What are we buying out of here?" I asked everybody as we walked into the Walmart.
"I want to make some Mac and cheese, greens, baked beans, chicken and good ole Nasun gon make them ribs"
"Well damn. Just volunteer me" Jasun said.
Everyone went their separate ways and went to get their items, purchase them and left home store start cooking.
"Thank y'all for the meal" i thanked the room.
"And thank yall for the quality time too. I love y'all"
"I love you too baby" my mama yelled.
"Ma you didn't have to yell"
"I love you too baby"
Within the next two hours everybody who didn't live here was gone.
Mainly because the apartment manager got a complaint.
"So what's the moves tonight?" I asked geni.
"Whatever you want"
"Ass and titties?"
She reached to pop me but I caught her hand, kissed it and spun her to where her back was to my chest and we swayed for a bit.
"I'm playing girl"
After assuring her that I was only playing, we tidied up the apartment a bit before going upstairs.
The place wasn't that dirty cause my moms literally cleaned every thirty seconds.
"Can we watch our show now?"
I nodded and we got into my bed.
"I love you"
"I love you more".
I kissed her forehead and she placed her head on my chest as we started the latest episode of The Chi.
