Blackness, then nothing

Y/N woke up in a hospital room and Sana was sat beside her.

She opened her eyes and groaned a bit.

"Where...where am I?"

Sana's eyes fluttered a bit as she had been asleep. "Y/N! Are you okay?! What's the last thing you remember? NURSE COME HERE PLEASE!!!"

"W-who are you...and why am I here? WHY DOES MY HEAD HURT SO MUCH AND HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME!?!"

"Y-Y/N...do you really not remember me?" Sana asked and a tear rolled down her cheek.

The nurse came running in the room. "Is she awake? How is she?"

"S-she doesn't remember a-anything" Sana swallowed her tears and grabbed her phone out of her purse with her hands trembling.

She dialled a number on her phone and put it to her ear. "M-Mina..." she started sobbing a tremendous amount of tears "she's awake...but..."

"What happened? Is she alright?" A small voice could be heard from the other side of the phone.

"She...Y/N doesn't r-remember anything..." She choked on her tears and her voice cracked a bit. A trembling voice could be heard from Mina aswell.

She told Sana that she's on her way and that she should start explaining everything to Y/N.

"So...are you telling me I've lost my memory...??" Sana nodded in response.

"So...it all started on prom evening. You were going to prom with your boyfriend, Sunoo. When you arrived, you found him kissing the school bitch who hates you and you hate her. You ran away into the road bare feet and a car rammed into you. That all happened 4 months ago. You've been in a coma for 4 months"

"Wait...so my boyfriend cheated on me? And who are you again?"

"No...it was all a misunderstanding. If only you had let him explain himself. You know what...you should ask him yourself when you see him, that's if you do...and by the way, I'm Sana, your roommate and classmate. You go to Once University in Seoul and you currently live in an apartment with me. You have 7 other best friends called Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Jihyo, Mina, Dayhun and Chaeyoung. The one I was on the phone to before was called Mina-" Sana explained.

"Wait...that name sounds familiar..."

The doctor, interrupting their conversation, entered the room.

"Hi, I'm doctor Choi, you can just call me doc if you want" A tall, fine ass looking dude entered the room in a doctors uniform.

"I'd like you to tell me everything you remember and where you feel pain, can you do that for me?" He asked with a gentle smile on his face.

"Well that's the problem, I don't remember anything...well I do remember some stuff like my school and yeah...but I don't remember the people. When I strain to think of it, I get a headache. Doc, tell me honestly, do you think I will regain my memory again...? Y/N asked

Sana's phone started to buzz, someone was calling her. She quickly grabbed the phone and took the call outside the hospital room.

"Well, there is a small chance of it...butkeep in mind that it's very unlikely at the moment for you to get it back, but still, keep hope but don't let it get too high or it might go wrong. Just get lots of rest and don't strain too much"

"Thanks doc, I'll get some rest then" He stood up and got outside the room.

Meanwhile, Sana was on the phone talking to someone.

"Listen, Sunoo. You might take this really badly and feel even more guilty but I think you need to know this. She's woken up and-"

"SHE WOKE UP?!? HOW IS SHE?!?"

"Hey, let me explain first...so, she lost her memory and she doesn't remember anyone or anything. I explained everything to her and yes, I told her how she got in a coma. To be honest, she didn't look that upset, maybe it was just the shock that made her reaction late but anyway, I told her to visit you too. Don't feel too bad, it's not your fault, it was all just a misunderstanding" A few sniffles could be heard from the phone.

Sunoo said a weak ok and cut the phone. Sana sighed and leant against the wall. On the other side of the wall, muffled sobs could be heard from Y/N. She ambled her way towards her and sat next to her on the bed.

"Hey, we're gonna get through this together, don't worry. It's all gonna be okay" Sana stroked Y/N's soft hair and comforted her. "Just cry it all out. Don't worry, I'm here, nothings gonna happen"

"I-I'm just...scared. I'm scared of what's gonna happen. What if no one likes me anymore because I forgot who they are? What if I don't remember anyone...what do I do?"

"I'll tell you everything. You're in my classes so I'll give you the notes. Don't worry, everything will be ok"

Soft but gentle sobbing sounds filled the room as Y/N slowly dozed off in Sana's arms.
