(Yes, exams are horrible, but I have time to update because I don't have social life...

It was at this moment that she realized that she had f*cked up.

Well, it's not like I can change it, so... ANYWAYS! Hope you guys enjoy the chapter!)

Ava's POV

It has been a while since boss has given us any missions. I wonder what he's trying to do. It's getting unnerving and suspicious. He never lets anyone off with more than a week off the job.

The last few days, I haven't gotten any hint of contact from him. It's not normal, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. Ensuring that I had blocked everyone else, I linked him.

Boss.

No response

BOSS!

No response

Boss, are you there?

No response.

I cut it off and linked Kaden. At first, he got defensive, but then he realized it was me.

Kaden!

Yeah?

Boss isn't responding. Something's wrong.

Are you sure something's wrong?

Yeah. We haven't heard from him in forever! We have got to know what went wrong. You wanna join me? I'm planning to go to the Agency.

Sure. I'll come along. Just one question - you're going to tell Adam, right?

Of course!

Kay. I'll be there at the pack house in a minute.

With that, I cut the link. I linked Adam. (A/N A lot of mind linking. I know, but it's necessary.)

Adam?

Yeah?

I'm going to the Agency again with Kaden. I haven't gotten word from boss, and I'm worried.

You're worried about the person that kidnapped you?!

No! I'm worried about the agents! What if something bad happened?!

They're freakin' agents. I'm pretty sure they are alright.

They are still living, breathing, beings that can make mistakes!

Fine. He replied reluctantly.

I'll be back soon. If you don't get any response from me for more than a week, then something's wrong. If not, I don't think you should get involved.

What the hell are you talking about?! It's my JOB to get involved - I'm your mate!

Yeah, you're my mate, not me! I'm going. And no matter what you do, DON'T look for me with scent. I'll hide it to keep the location a secret. I was allowed to tell you stuff, but not everything.

Fine. He grumbled. His anger and frustration was so prominent it was causing a headache.

I cut the link, glad he understood.

"Here." I heard Kaden say. Just in time. "Let's go." I said. He nodded and we took off.

------------

We went straight into boss' office, not even bothering to knock. I barged in and when I saw him talking to a woman, I stopped and stared at him intently. It wasn't a glare, but it wasn't a warm smile either. It was a stone cold face with eyes string at him like they could see into his soul.
