"Da Ji said I was the only one who really listened to her," Da Qing told Sister Cheng and Zhao Yunlan as they walked out of the park. "I told her a little of the 'difficulties' we were going through, and that she shouldn't give up, and that if she couldn't find anyone to help her, to make it happen herself. I had no right to tell her that, though," Da Qing said sadly.

"She needed to hear that it was alright for her to NOT accept the situation," Sister Cheng reassured him.

"She left the guy, and is now married to a kind man," Da Qing brightened up.

"So, your first love has officially ended," Zhao Yunlan said mischievously as Da Qing tackled him.

A while later, a shelter for abused women opened up in the city. No one was turned away, no questions were asked. The Fat Cat shelter founded by "Da Qing" welcomed all who needed it.

Zhao Yunlan sat nervously in Sister Cheng's office as Zhu Hong inspected her nails. When Sister Cheng first approached him for his aid, he had willingly accepted. But seeing Zhu Hong again all made up and eyeing him like a piece of yummy cake was quite another thing. Zhao Yunlan took a deep breath and prayed that she would not get too clingy.

"As much as I was so looking forward to our date, there's something else I'd like to do," Zhu Hong stated before Zhao Yunlan could say a word. "Sister Cheng, please take me and Ying Chun, our maid, for some clothes shopping."

"That's very nice of you, Zhu Hong," Sister Cheng could barely keep from laughing as she saw Zhao Yunlan breathe a sigh of relief.

Soon, Zhu Hong, Sister Cheng, and Ying Chun were excitedly trying on clothes, and then they moved on to shoes, handbags, cosmetics, on and on. Zhao Yunlan, who was dragged along by Zhu Hong, had both hands full of bags.

"Zhu Hong, the clothes you bought are too small for you," Ying Chun remarked, as they took a break.

"They're all for you, Ying Chun. Because of your kind tips and help, I looked somewhat...presentable," Zhu Hong replied with a smile. "Thank you. You helped make my time enjoyable."

After Zhao Yunlan dropped off Sister Cheng and Ying Chun, he took Zhu Hong to a movie and then dinner afterwards, as a reward to her for being so kind to Ying Chun. And to Zhu Hong's credit, not once did she try to steal a kiss from Zhao Yunlan or even hold his hand...and there was no other "stuff." Even Zhao Yunlan later admitted that he enjoyed the evening; Zhu Hong had many fun stories to tell.

The Fat Cat shelter received a large amount of clothing and cosmetics, and a monetary donation from a "Zhu Hong."

Guo Changcheng appeared for several hours a day during the week, always away from the office so that he would not disturb Shen Wei's daily work. He spent the time either at Sister Cheng's office or at home and said very little, writing continuously in his book, stopping occasionally when Sister Cheng or Zhao Yunlan brought him custard buns and tea.
