After they were wedded, Adalie and Elk decided to start something new together: Have a family of their own! And they did, having twins. A boy named Divoky and a girl named Aldara, hybrids of an elktaur and a hor...
Elk ad Adalie run to the rift, and they get close to the portal until they hear Adalie's parents behind them. Emilia and Josiah run to them and catch up. Josiah pants, "Waterbaby and them are on their way. You two ran off, what's going on? We weren't able to see what happened because of the smoke." Adalie looks at the portal, "Keres took the kids into there..." They look at the open portal and then see Elk going up the stairs as fast as he could. Adalie gasps, "Elk wait up!" She and her parents go after him as they enter the portal and see Keres and Adron standing there, the twins in cages and they were surrounded with the undead minotaurs. Elk was standing in the middle, staring Keres down and Adalie looks at the twins and they whimper in fear.
Divoky and Aldara grip the cage bars and Keres steps forward, "Well, you were quick. That desperate hm?" "Give...me back...my children.." Elk walks towards her, the mintoaurs gripping their weapons and Keres chuckles, "You thought it was that easy? Please, I'm not done with you yet." Elk growls and he gets a couple feet from her, staring her in the eyes, "I've moved on, you just won't let go of it. You're so full of yourself that you can't accept change, can you?" Keres growls and there was something from behind the portal and a familiar face shows, "Someone needed the key?" He lifts his head, revealing his face, his lip missing a piece, revealing his teeth and he wore an eyepatch. Keres smiles, "Hadeon, it's so good to see you." She walks over and hugs him and he gives her the key, "How did you get it?"
Hadeon chuckles, "It got a little...messy." He throws down the woman, who was in bad shape and she coughs, looking up and seeing the twins in cages and Elk standing and her eyes widen. Elk looks at her in shock and he growls at the liontaur, and Hadeon glares at him. Divoky whimpers, "Dad, help us!" "It's okay. It's okay, it's gonna be okay.." Elk looks at the twins and Keres holds the key and shows it to the twins, "See this? This is what your daddy used years ago. In this exact place, to split himself. To become the Nowhere King." The twins shake and Elk growls as she gets the key closer to them, "I wonder if you two have his powers." He charges for her and tackles her to the ground, making her drop the key and the two go at each other.
Adalie shakes and she sees the key and goes after to grab it, but a minotaur swings its axe at her, and she trips into a cage, along with her parents, and Adalie grips the bars, watching Elk and Keres fight. She shakes and sees Keres pulling a blade, and Elk charging for her, "ELK! LOOK OUT!" Elk looks at her in shock, seeing her in a cage, until he feels a sharp pain go through his chest, straight through his heart. Adalie screams, "NOO!" The twins look in horror, "DADDY!" Blood drips from Elk's mouth, as he looks down, seeing the sword that Keres had, and she pulls him closer to her, "Sleep tight, as the light leaves your eyes." She makes a move to the right, causing to blade to cause a slice wound and Elk falls to the white ground, coughing, trying to breathe.
There was a loud metal noise and the twins had somehow broke the cages they were in and run to their father and try to help him, but it was no use. Aldara looks her father in the face, tears filling her eyes, "Come on daddy...breathe..." She covers his wound, gently pressuring it to stop the bleeding. Elk grits his teeth in pain and he holds the twins close, "I'm.... I'm so sorry I couldn't... protect you... like I promised..."

Keres looks at the broken cage bars and looks at the children, then motions the minotaurs, "Get the children. I'll finish him off." Two of the undead minotaurs go to the trio and pick up the twins, but they didn't want to leave their father. Elk holds their hands, but loses his strength and lets go, and the twins get put back in cages, and Keres walks over to Elk, "Tsk tsk tsk. What a pity. You seemed like a good father. Take them all to the camp. I'll catch up."
The twins, Adalie, along with Emilia, Josiah and the woman get loaded onto a cart and a minotaur pulls, taking them out and Keres grabs Elk's antler and pulls his head up to mke him look at the twins as they were carried off, the blade on his throat and Elk looks at the twins as they watched and his eyes water, "Look away... I'll be coming for you." Keres laughs, "Likewise. I would love to see you try this time." With a quick slice, she slits his throat and he lays there motionless, and she walks over to catch up with her own herd. Adalie reaches her hand out to the twins, comforting them as they cry, the last they see is their father's body, bleeding out before leaving the portal and were now in the human world.
