Keres flies back to her camp and nearly crash lands into the ground, panting. She growls as she pulls out the carving knife that was lodged in her shoulder, and she gets up. She throws the knife onto the ground and sits down on the blanket, "I need a way to get those kids WITHOUT having the family alerted....but how?" She hears a twig snap and whips her head around, throwing the carving knife, and it misses the blacksmith by hitting a tree and he looks at her, "You missed." She growls and lays down, "Must you joke around?" The blacksmith sits next to her, "Should've brought your sword." He holds the covered sword and Keres takes it, "I'm waiting for the right opportunity to use it on him. Right now, I'm trying to think of how I can take his children in order to lure him to me." The blacksmith looks at her, "Did you try taking them when he wasn't around?" She sighs, rubbing her head, "I did. But one of them had alerted him, and the rest of the family. Then I got stabbed with a carving knife and now I'm thinking of a new plan."
The blacksmith leans back against a tree and the same crow flies to him and perches on his arm, "Remember that key?" Keres lifts her head, "How do you know..." Her eyebrows raise and she looks at him, and he smiles, "It's great to hear your voice again Keres." Her eyes water and she hugs him, "Adron! Oh my god, I thought...when I woke up you and Hadeon were dead...Or so I thought..." Adron chuckles and hugs her back and she looks at him, "But...how did you end up like this?" Adron sits up, "When I woke up, Hadeon and you were gone, so I went my way and found a cave of a beartaur. I found the woman sleeping, and there was the key staff. I thought I could grab it, but somehow, I turned the little ball in the middle, a flash came at me, and I ended up like this. She woke up and I got out of there as fast as I could, though she did get my eye."
He moves his hair, and his right eye had a scar and it looked pale, "I can barely see out of it. My crow half got injured as well, had a broken wing and burnt feathers, but we both healed. Then I became a blacksmith, and when I saw you in the human village alive, I had to see for myself, and find a way to see your face to see if it was really you." Keres smiles and she stands up, "So the key...if it can split centaurs...then..." She looks at Adron, "I heard the Nowhere King was just a split version of what he is now...and since he has children then..." Adron raises his eyebrows, "You're saying...you kidnap them, and threaten to split them if he doesn't show?" Keres shrugs, "Sort of. But even if he does show, I'm still splitting them, that way they can literally follow in daddy's footsteps."
Adron chuckles, "I like it. But how can we get the children without anyone being alerted?" Keres smirks, "Well, we find them first, then go from there. I can't wait to see his face when he feels the blade go through his heart." She holds the sword and smiles at her reflection in the blade, and Adron smiles as well, "If only Hadeon was here to hear this. He would be as pumped as we are." Keres sighs, "We get the children, but we also have to get the key somehow. But I want to get them first before anything else, then we can retrieve the key to do whatever." Adron nods and he looks over at the trees, seeing a glowing pair of eyes backing away, but he thinks nothing of it and he watches Keres practice with the blade.
