The next morning, Divoky wakes up and gently wakes up Aldara, "Sis. Sis wake up." Aldara stretches and she sits up, "Hm?" She sits up and Divoky holds her hand, pulling her gently and they cover their mother with the cloak, and they go to the kitchen. Aldara quietly opens the pantry and Divoky gets a cookbook and he looks for a recipe for breakfast recipes. They finish getting the ingredients and Aldara gets a bowl, "Shouldn't we ask mommy to help us?" Divoky looks at her, "We want to give mommy a surprise breakfast like daddy used to do. Like when he made pancakes for her, and that's what I wanna do, and I would like some help." Aldara smiles, "Momma's gonna love it. It'll bring back memories." They start to make the batter, reading the instructions carefully, while making a small mess on the counter and a little on themselves.
Aldara sneezes from the flour, and Divoky carefully pours the batter in a pan, "Don't.... want to.. spill." He puts the bowl down and after some time, the pancakes were ready to flip and the twins flip it, it looked a little burned, but still golden brown. Divoky sets the cooked ones on a plate and they made six pancakes when Adalie woke up and she sees the twins, "What are you two doing?" Divoky turns the oven off and he and Aldara pick up the plate carefully and take it to her, "We made you breakfast." Adalie smiles and she holds the plate, "How sweet of you two. What made you wanna make breakfast?" Aldara smiles, "Well, we remember watching daddy making breakfast for you, and so we followed the recipe, and wanted to surprise you." Adalie holds back tears and she hugs the twins tight, "I appreciate that. I'm sure if daddy was here he would be proud. I'm surprised that these look perfect." She holds the pancake plate and takes it to the table, and serves the three of them.
After they had finished eating, they go outside to the flower field nearby and Adalie sits in the grass as the twins pick some flowers. She wears Elk's cloak, and tears slowly fall down her face, and the twins run back to her, holding their small bouquets of flowers, hugging their mother, "Don't cry mommy..." Adalie chuckles, holding them, "I'm okay... I just... I know that some people in the future will tell us to get over it, but... it does take time to heal... especially when it comes to the loss of a loved one. Just remember, sometimes we do have to let go, but that doesn't mean we forget that person, we always got to keep their memory alive." She hugs the twins, and they stay close to her and Adalie smiles at them, "We're always be together, and even though daddy's not here physically doesn't mean he's not watching."
Aldara sits on her mother's back, "Mom? Do you think daddy misses us?" She gently pets her daughter's hair, "Oh sweetheart, I'm sure he misses us a lot. More than you know." Aldara hugs her mother, and she looks at the clouds in the sky, and she sighs, "I miss him a lot." Divoky nods, "I miss him too..." Adalie kisses their forehead, "I know...I miss him a lot too. It's going to be okay." They look at the sky, leaves blowing in the breeze, "I promise that everything will get better."
