Scanner, because it will scan your whole body even your bag if you are bringing a weapon or hazardous things. It’s for the owners safety. Kaya hindi makakapasok dito ang isang tao basta-basta lalo na kung may binabalak na masama. Alam mo naman ang panahon ngayon hindi na maasahan ang ibang tao.” He said like he’s endorsing a product.

“Wow, that’s cool.” Namamangha siya sa sinabi ng binata.

“I can’t disagree. My friends are maybe crazy but they are genius.” He maybe don’t know it, but he sound so proud of his friends.

“Well, they can’t be a billionaire if they’re not. You’re lucky to have them.” She smile widely.

He chuckle lightly. “Yup, I am. They’re crazy but they won’t leave you when you’re down.”

Pinatitigan niya ang binata. “You sound so proud.” She intended to tease him but he just smile.

“I do, but let’s keep it as a secret.” He chuckled.

“Alright. Can you tell me more?” Aniya saka tumigil sa paglalakad.

“Catcher, his a friend of mine baby and he make this much safer and high tech by his specialty. The village is much safe for those who need safety, may ganito rin sa gate ng village. Well, he put some electronic devices everywhere inside and outside the village but some of those are more different than the thing you saw in the gate. Some of it can scan a person or a car, motorcycle, and anything, even a helicopter that is coming through the village.

Those devices will start to scan even if your car is five meter away from the village, and if the scanner would say danger. Deadly weapons will automatically come out from the wall around the village and control itself. But it will fire up if it senses a highly dangerous enemy.” Patuloy nito at mas lalo siyang namangha. “If you didn’t notice, he installed some of it in every houses here inside.”

Hindi makapaniwalang tinignan niya ang binata. “Did it happened already? That those weapon came out like you are in a battle?” Mangha niyang tanong.

Mahina itong natawa sa nakikitang pagkamangha niya. “Yes, it is.” Nakangiting sagot ng binata.

“Wow, then why did it come out? What happened?”

Dumilim ang mukha nito. “Someone tried to hurt a friend of mine.”

“And then?” She asked again curiosly.

“He wanted to control my friend.”

“Why would he do that?”

“Just an evil thoughts of a useless father.” Galit nitong saad.

Natigilan siya at hindi na nagtanong. “Oh. Sorry for asking.”

Sukat sa sinabi niya ay ngumiti ang binata. “Don’t be, asking is not a crime. Anyway, we received an offer to make this village a part of the tourist spot but we highly disagree. We build this for our safety, if we let the other people came in. We can’t tell what will happen.”

“I understand though, pero hindi ko naman sila masisisi. This place is like a paradise, unique and awesome.” Makatotohanan niyang saad. “If I’m not mistaken. Scanner din yung nakita ko sa gate ng bahay mo kanina?” Tanong niya. So it’s a paradise village but dangerous for those who had a bad intention at the same time.

It’s like a beauty hiding in a dangerous volcano. Cool.

“Yup. Every houses inside the village, even Nanay Aldena’s karenderya.”
