Hoseokselected a song and moved to the center of the floor.
Deep breaths centered him, relaxing his body. As he exhaled, his thoughts quieted, the list in his head filtered out. His next inhale breathed in the music until there was nothing but the steady beat. His body moved of its own accord, freed from thought or worry.
Then, he danced.
Hours later, drenched in sweat, his body already aching, he sat on the floor and stretched through his cool down.
He felt invigorated. He always did after these sessions, where he allowed his body to translate all his emotions and worries into movement. Finally, he stood, one more glance in the mirror revealing not the line of his body or the flow of movement, but the glow of his skin and the peace radiating from him.
He whistled as he changed into his street clothes. As he did, he considered again the costs of putting in a small shower. He shook the sweat from his hair and laughed. Days like today one would definitely be useful!
The rest of the day flowed around him. He was starving by now, so he stopped every few feet to buy food from the vendors. He needed another shower before he did his shopping, so he headed home. A hot shower, a big meal, and the late afternoon sun left him no choice but to take a long, restorative nap.
He woke up hours later, the sun having slipped low in the sky, welcoming the night.
A quick check of his phone revealed that Jimin, Tae, and JK were beginning a group chat plotting a "boys night."
He smiled and tapped "I'm in," knowing two of those "boys" would spend the majority of the time mooning over the women who were waiting at home for them.
He smiled, realizing he was ok with that. Lyra and Sky were worth the attention. He frowned thinking about Jimin's Roni, this might be a good chance to check on his friend. At any rate, today had given him a sense of peace with how his life was right now.
He moved to dress, picking the bright clothes he loved to wear on the weekend.
He had so much to look forward to. He was determined to be more active in supporting Mrs. Kim at the studio and this work project was a huge opportunity for him. Life was good,and he was content. He was going out to spend time with fantastic friends and enjoy exquisite food and expensive liquor. He had everything he needed right now. He closed his door behind him, those thoughts rambling in his head as he headed to pick up Jimin.
