SongDae knew Hoseok too well.  He immersed himself in the details of the project.  He lived off coffee and food from the vending machine.  His assistant scolded him after finding the wrappers and half eaten bowls of noodles that grew cold while he was chasing a complicated detail.

Dae started bringing him food she had prepared or ordered in for him. Several times he found himself dozing off over his laptop.  Finally, he was satisfied.  He took a day off, slept for 20 hours, showered and appeared in Dae's office prepared to proceed.

Tae sauntered in just in time for the "what kind of noodles should we order?" discussion and over lunch the three of them talked about the details and made plans until they were satisfied.

"It is ready," Hobi finally said.

Dae nodded.  If Hobi was satisfied, they were ready to proceed.

She sent an email to her contact inviting their team to a series of meetings at the end of next week. Hoseok slipped out to gather his team and begin the preparations.  Tae watched him go, slouched in Dae's best chair, still full from his lunch.

"He seems different somehow, you think?" he asked.

Dae thought for a minute, then shook her head. "I had't really noticed, but you always notice these things before I do.  Is he happier maybe?  I mean if that is even possible for him to be more upbeat," she mused.

" DaeDear, we both have learned that there is a marked difference between appearing happy and being happy.  I think he is content.  This project has given him a focus.  It's good for him." He remarked.

"How did you get to be so clever?" she asked, rising from her seat and playfully pinching his cheek.

"Dae, you know "clever" is just one of my many charms." He smiled his most devastating smile at her, winked and ran his thumb slowly over his bottom lip. He then wisely ducked out the door before she threw something at him.

The week passed quickly in preparation for the meetings.  The presentation had been printed, the videos produced and reviewed everything had been proofed to the tiniest detail.

Hobi walked Dae to her car, hearing her confirm the team from America had arrived safely and had checked into the hotel suites.  Everything was a "go" for tomorrow afternoon.
He held her door as she slid into the back seat.

"You are going to wow them tomorrow," she said as she buckled in.

He nodded at her, silently absorbing her faith in him.  He watched as she pulled away, then walked to his own car, mind racing with last minute plans.

He intended to be the first one at the office the next morning, but Dae greeted him with coffee and his favorite breakfast.

"Are you nervous?" she asked as he paced her office after they finished.
