When Olivia finally stood before him it was worth it.

She was wearing a white lace dress with wide tie in the back that saved it from being too revealing.  The skirt was tiered and ruffled and she looked delicate and so very feminine.  She had opted on very light makeup, the kiss of the sun on her face and shoulders giving her a healthy glow. She took his breath away.

“ Beautiful,” he breathed as she stood fussing with the collar of his shirt.

"I was about to say the same for you!”, she said, her voice husky and her eyes shining with emotion.

She shook her head as if to chase those thoughts away and nodded toward the door.

The night was glorious.  They started at the pier with a party that was indeed a festival.

Music and lights and food created an atmosphere that was the essence of summer.  There were drinks flowing, but by silent mutual agreement both of them had passed on the liquor.

Just as there was a current of celebration running through the party, there was a deeper, heavier undercurrent building between the two of them.

As the sun completely faded and the night was ink dark, lit only by stars, they entered small boats and headed out on the lake. The ride was dark and perfect for gazing at the stars.

Hobi did not really understand what was happening until they rounded a small bend and saw dozens of other boats anchored around what appeared to be a barge with lights and sound equipment.

As the boat stopped the" captain" turned on dozens of strands of fairy lights, giving the entire deck an enchanted glow.

The activity on the barge drew everyone’s attention and he could see a band assemble and soon the night was filled with the sounds of jazz drifting at times into rockabilly and southern funk.

Everyone around them was dancing and drinking.  He and Livi shared a drink and danced until her feet hurt.

As the night grew late the band slowed down and Hobi took her in his arms, and slowly swayed to the music. As the last strains of music faded over the waters all the lights on the boats were turned off as if on cue.

The BOOM startled him until he saw the first sparkle of fireworks in the sky.  Livi turned and he pulled her tight to his chest, catching her hands and wrapping his arms tightly around her.

They watched as the intensity of the fireworks flared to match the pounding of blood in their ears.

In the shower of sparkling lights Hobi watched her face, memorizing the awe and joy he saw there.

Right that moment he felt himself fall into her.  Before he could decide what that meant, the lights of the boat flared back on to groans from those who had taken advantage of the dark.  Hobi cursed himself that he had not.

Then his eyes met hers and he knew she felt the same way.

They sat as the boat began it's journey back, both with a sense that it was taking them into a new direction.  They talked in whispers, heads bent closely together.

They were dropped off at their docks, waves and cheers from their friends sending then into the night.

They stood there holding hands and sharing secrets, unwilling to rush the night.

The first flash was ignored, the  second made them think the fireworks were not finished after all.

Then the low rumble of thunder settled the question. A storm was rolling in over the lake.  The atmosphere swirled around them, charging between and around them.

One more BOOM broke them free and they ran for the shelter of the house, shrieking and laughing.

The deluge dropped just as they reached the large deck of the home. Hobi tried to shield her as she keyed in the code.  They stepped inside, and he was mesmerized by the droplets of rain kissing her face.

He cupped her face in both hands and gently wiped away the drops with his thumb. He reached to trace one as it fell from her lashes.

It reminded him of a tear and suddenly he could not stand the thought of her crying.  He traced the drop on her face until it reached her upper lip.  His finger traced her mouth, feeling her breath grow short, feeling his do the same.

He subconsciously darted his tongue to his own lips and he felt her shudder in his hands.  Raising his eyes to hers, he saw the same hunger echoed there.

A quirk of his brow asked permission, her slow nod gave it. Then he gently bent his mouth to hers and tasted her in a gentle kiss.

The fire was immediate between them.  She clung to him and the sounds she made drove him on.

Her hands roamed his back and shoulders, noting how wet he had gotten sheltering her.  She caressed  his hard chest and unbuttoned the damp shirt, pushing it off his shoulders.  He stepped back from her and drew a deep breath.

“Olivia…are you sure? We can stop this. You don’t have to…” she stopped him with a hard kiss.

“ I want this Hobi.  I want you.” She answered.

That began a slow dance across the room and down the hall, clothes and doubts and inhibitions dropping along the way until he laid her in the deep bed and loved her like the storm that raged outside.

Through the night they loved and learned each other, sharing intimate words and thoughts and acts until they slept sated and exhausted.

The next morning Hobi woke up and smiled.

Livi was draped across his chest and he was still aching with the things they did and the words they said.

She slowly kissed her way up his chest when she felt him move.

“ Love me again before we have to go back,” she asked.

And he did.

Hoseok always did what Livi asked.

Oh Hobi
