KYOKA POV

"Seriously, that's the reason?"

"I know right, it completely caught me off guard."

"So you're telling me that we stressed over everything for nothing?"

Izuku laughed to himself while laying in my bed. "Guess so. Who would have guessed that it was simply because he couldn't trust me."

"That is absolutely... I mean the... How could he..." Sighing I pinched the bridge of my nose. "Izuku baby, you know how much I love you right?"

Izuku continued to laugh as he flipped to look at me. "Yes I know how much you love me. I also know that he's right."

"Oh thank God, you just made this so much easier."

He gave me a cheesy smile before patting the spot next to him. "I do my best... sometimes."

Laughing and shaking my head I made my way and laid next to him. "So now what?"

He shrugged while staring out the window. "I work and prove that he can trust me."

I gave him a curious look. "So, how exactly did you convince him to take you on?"

He nervously laughed. "If I'm being honest I felt like he was going to-"

With a quick strike from my jack Izuku came to a stop. The look he gave me was filled with annoyance before slowly turning to one of apology.

"You know you don't have to give me that look Kyoka."

"I have no clue what you're talking about."

I knew exactly what he was talking about. Even if I couldn't see my own face I could tell by his expression that my scowl was working well. I really did love him, but I was tired of him trying to hide things from me.

He laughed softly before fidgeting with his hands. "Could you please not scowl like that, you'll get wrinkles."

My eyes narrowed. I wasn't backing down from this. "I don't know, can you tell me why you tried to hide something from me again?"

"You're right, I'm sorry."

While sighing I felt my expression soften. "Izuku, what did you tell him?"

"I told him what my future plans were. He seemed to accept it, but it wasn't enough to get him to trust me. So we made him a deal."

I felt a lump form in my throat as he spoke. "What was it?"

"If he took me on then I'd tell the others at the agency the truth... and if I didn't he could go public with my secret."

Everything went quiet. Izuku's words echoed as I stared at him in disbelief. A sea of mixed emotions flooded me. I wasn't sure if he was coming to terms as he opened up to more people or if he was crazy. Should I be happy or worried? Stressed or calm? Nothing seemed to make sense at the moment. Was this really the best choice for him? I didn't have the answers and I didn't really have many people I could talk about this with. All I could do is trust him.

As I kept my eyes locked on him I noticed he had a small smile on his face. It wasn't forced or fake. It was a genuine smile. Even if his eyes held a tinge or uncertainty in them he was happy with his choice. That smile of his was something I wanted to protect and I wasn't going to let it slip away.

His smile in turn caused a soft smile to spread across my face as I leaned into him while wrapping a jack around his arm. "You're taking some big steps."

"It needs to happen faster."

A hint of concern came over me as I looked at him. "Izuku, as much as I like this go get'em attitude, there's no need to rush things. I know how hard it is for you to trust people, you don't have to force yourself."
