"Babe, please take the kids to school today. I have an early meeting!?" I shouted from the kitchen whilst I quickly finished the food my wife made for me.
She didn't answer so I took that as a yes. I finally finished my food then ran upstairs skipping 2 stairs in-between.
I walked in my wife's and I's bedroom and grabbed my laptop bag, my personal phone then looked for my wallet. "Babe!" I shouted whilst opening the drawers looking for my wallet.
I heard footsteps coming into the bedroom then I looked at the door and saw our child. "Mama, mommy said I must come ask you for money." My son Asive asked.
"Why do you need money?" I asked whilst picking up pillows and duvets on the bed.
"For lunch." He said.
"Where's your sister?" I asked.
"In her room." He said.
"Call her. And your mother too." I say looking at him.
"Okay mama." He said nodding his head then left.
I went to our walk in closet then opened the wardrobes looking for this bastard. How the fuck did I lose my wallet?
I got out of the closet then my wife walked in. "Baby have you seen my wallet?" I ask then she shakes her head smiling.
"Did you check in the pedestal drawer?" She asks then I open my mouth then turn around.
"I was about toooo-" I say going to the pedestal then I found my wallet.
I went to her then kissed her on her cheek. "I'm off." I say grabbing my laptop bag.
"Did you give Asive cash?" She asks then I shake my head.
"About that... Why didn't Lihleli make them food?" I ask then she shrugs her shoulders.
"Don't tell me about that one. She's having this rebelious teenager stage." She says then I let out a chuckle.
"Not with me." I say shaking my head. Asive and Lihleli come in the room then I look at this daughter of mine.
"You called for me?" She says then I look at my wife and she just shook her head. Hell no.
I walk up to her. "Okay, we gonna try that again." I say putting my laptop bag down.
"Morning mama. Asive said you are calling me." She said letting out a sigh.
"Okay. This time with respect." I say then she looks at me and smiles.
"Morning mama. Asive said you are calling me?" She asked then I smiled.
Good morning Lihleli, how did you sleep?" I ask going to grab my laptop bag.
"Good and you?" She answers.
"Great. I say.
"So tell me, why didn't you make your siblings lunch?" I ask looking at her.
"I overslept and I didn't get time today." She says then I nod my head.
"No. Tell your mother what you told me." My wife Yolisa says.
"Ma?" Lihleli answers.
"That's not the answer you gave me." She says.
"But mama-" she said then Yolisa put her hand up and shook her head.
"What did she say?" I ask looking at my wife.
"She said they are not her kids, so she is not forced to do anything for them." She said then I looked at Lihleli.
