Andile POV
I got back home around 6pm and I'm so not ready for the questions coming my way. I mean I made it home so that's all that matters, right? Anyways whatever.
I quickly send a message on my phone then get in the house. I see everybody sitting by the dining room table. "Hello." I greet going to everyone.
"Hello ma." The kids greet then I sit down on my seat.
"Mama can you help me with physics?" Lihleli asks.
"Okay. Imma just go change then I'll help. But did you try it yourself first?" I ask then she nods her head.
"So I'm not helping you, I'm marking." I say then she looks at me and I laugh.
"Hello Yolisa." I greet looking at her.
"Hi" she says without looking at me. She was helping Asive with his work. Well okay. Imma leave her.
I grab my laptop bag and go upstairs. I get in the room then undress and get in the shower. Once I'm done I moisterise then get out of the bathroom. I go to the closet and put on my briefs and my boxers.
I put on my PJ pants and t-shirt then get out of the closet. I see Yolisa in the room but I just ignore her cause she's also ignoring me. I grab my phone then go to the door. As I'm about to get out she calls me then I look back at her.
"I wanna talk to you." She says then I turn around and lean against the door.
"Where were you?" She asks then as I'm about to talk she adds. "And don't tell me you've been in a meeting from 8am till 6pm in a restaurant." She says then I clench my jaw.
"Then there's nothing to talk about." I shrug my shoulders.
"So that's the lie you gonna go with?" She asks then as I'm about to talk my phone rings.
"Can I take this?" I ask as I look at the caller ID.
"We still talking." She says.
"But you already have all the answers so what's the point?" I ask then she just looks at me.
"So you've been in a restaurant that long? Really now?" She asks then I shrug my shoulders.
"That's how I make my money. I don't leave until the client is happy with what we have to offer. Remember. That's the money you spend too." I say then she widens her eyes.
"I don't need your money Andile." She says then I let out a chuckle.
"There you go miss independent. I know you don't need my money, but the fact of the matter is that you still ask for it and you spend it. But I never said you need it either, so don't put words in my mouth." I say then she looks down and stands up.
"Okay." She says lowly then walks towards me. I move to the side cause I'm guessing she's going to the door.
She opens the door. "Please don't sleep in our room tonight." She says then walks out. I let out a sigh then shake my head.
I go to the closet, grab an overnight bag and pack my sleeping clothes and go to the bathroom and grab my body wash, face wash, towel, and my moisteriser and roll on and body spray and cologne then go back to the closet and put all of that in the bag then put in a pair of my black loafers and a black belt then I zip and close the bag.
I grab my blue suit and my black shirt and tie and put them in a garment bag.
I get out of the room and go to the spare bedroom. I put all my stuff in there then go downstairs. I go to the dining room and sit at the table. "What am I marking?" I ask
"Mama." She complains looking at me.
"If you get it wrong I'm explain then." I say then she pouts.
"Lihleli if I do your work for you, how are you gonna learn?" I ask then she opens her book and starts flipping through pages. She slides the book to me and a pencil. I look at the book and just by the formulas used I could distinguish that it was projectile motion. Damn, I miss school.
I mark her work and explain on the ones she got wrong and all that then we were done. My phone rings again then I look at the caller ID. I get up and go outside.
Yolisa POV
I look at her as she walks out the front door. And since when do we answer phone calls outside in private? Honestly, Andile is acting sus and the more she lies about it the more she pisses me off, because at this point, if she doesn't want this marriage she must say, so she can stop wasting both our times, fuck.
I dish the food up. "Guys go put your books away. You'll carry on in your rooms after dinner." I say to the kids. They do as they are told then I go out the plates on the table.
When I finished I went outside to call Andile. I got out of the door and she was sitting on the door step. She turned around and looked at me. "What's wrong?" She asks.
"Dinner is ready. Come." I say then she nods her head.
"I'll be in in a minute." She says but I don't get in the house.
"I'll wait for you then." I say then she looks at me like I'm joking. So I sit next to her and she was looking at me this whole time.
"Oh wait, you serious?" She asks widening her eyes.
"Dead serious." I say then she lets out a sigh.
"Check, I'll call you back later." She says on the call.
"Oh, why are you stopping at my expense?" I ask folding my arms.
"Bruh-" she says shaking her head. She removes the phone from her ear and puts it on loud speaker.
"Iminathi can you tell Yolisa that it's you on the call and not some whore." She says looking at me.
"Hi Yolisa." I hear Nathi's voice and right then and there, I knew I fucked up.
"Oh hi." I say then stand up and I felt her eyes on me the whole time.
"Bro, lemme call you later." Andile says then I get in the house and leave her there.
Fuck, I fucked up. Like as much as that wasn't I hun, I know Andile is cheating... My timing was just off.
She gets in the house a few minutes later then sits by her seat. "Let's pray." She says closing her eyes. We all close our eyes and she says grace then we dig in.
