We got home then I went straight upstairs leaving Lihleli and Liyema downstairs. I got in the room and just sat on the sofa. I loosened my tie and took off my blazer.
"Can you take off your clothes. I need to take them to dry cleaning as soon as possible." Liyema says once she's in the room. I run my hands over my face as I stand up and undress.
"So she wants to take my kids. My kids." I say more to myself than anything else.
"Like she talks about the sacrifices she made for me and shit. Like make it make sense." I say then I look at Liyema.
"Liyema, this person had a job as a teacher, before she got fired, like she says. But then I got her a job again. I put my company on hold and made sure she got back on her feet before I went back to work. Once her career picked up again there's nothing I did not do for that hun. Literally nothing. I was there for her and gave her whatever she wanted even if it was the craziest request. I made sure she was happy. I put her happiness before mine. So ayt, she says she built me. And I get that, but she must not act like I didn't build her either. That's what a marriage is about. You build each other until you are both where you want to be. Now she wants to come here and act like I was taking from her and never gave. Yolisa is fucken childish man. She's a fucken child!" I say the last part on the verge of crying.
"Now she wants to take my children from me." I say pointing at myself.
"It's not fair." I say then she held me as I cried.
"We'll fight baby." She says then I shake my head as I sit down.
"Fight what? She's not wrong when she says those children are hers. Yeah, I raised them but she carried them and their her blood. What the fuck do I say to Lihleli?" I ask looking at the roof.
"Andile. Can you relax. We'll work something out." She says then she shake my head.
"No cause Yolisa doesn't deserve my kindness. I tried being nice and filing for shared custody even after how she treated Lihleli but if she wants a fight, it's all good." I say then stand up and walk to the closet.
I put on my black sweats and hoodie. I put on my white socks and my black Nike slides.
Yolisa comes inside the closet and also changes. I go to the spare bedroom in the mean time and grab two garment bags and go back to our room.
She comes and grabs the bags from the bed and puts in our stuff. "Let's go." She says once she's finished. I grab my phone and wallet from my laptop bag and put them in my pocket.
We go downstairs and see Lihleli watching TV. "We quickly stepping out." I say then she looks at us.
"Can I come with?" She asks then I nod my head.
"Let's go." I say then she switches off the TV and we go to the car.
"Can I drive?" She asks then I let out a sigh and look at Liyema. She just shrugs her shoulders.
"Nana not this car." I say then she nods her head.
"It's fine." She says then I we get in the car.

We passed by Nandos and bought dinner cause nobody felt like cooking, before going back to the house so Liyema was dishing now and for some weird reason Lihleli was only doing her homework now.
"Lihle." I call her then she looks at me.
"Ma?" She answers.
"What were you doing the whole day?" I ask then she laughs trying to avoid the topic.
"I'm waiting for an answer." I say then she looks at me and looks down.
"I was sleeping." She says as she carries on writing.
"What time did you wake up?" I ask.
"A few minutes before you got home." She says then I just shake my head cause she knows she's lying.
"But you are going to put the books away when we eating, and you know you sleep at ten, so if you don't finish that's on you." I say then turn around and watch TV.
"Okay ma." She says.
