The Affair

Chapter 20

After the dinner we got home and it's deadass been quiet between Yoli and Lihleli. I wonder what happened between the two of them. Cause literally after they stepped out to talk, they haven't said a word to anyone at the table.

Anyways we were in the house now and I was just relaxing a bit cause I was actually kinda tipsy and Yolisa doesn't want me driving. Still don't know why she still cares, but I'm not tryna fight.

So Imma just wait till I feel somewhat better. The kids were in their rooms and Yolisa was in the kitchen packing left over food, but judging by how long she's been in there, she's probably also packing other things.

So I stood up and went upstairs. I went into Yoli and I's bedroom then closed the door. I went in the closet then undressed. I grabbed pajamas I left behind here and put that on then hung my suit on a hanger, then put my shirt in the washing basket.

I put on socks and some slippers then grabbed my gown and put it on. When I got out of the closet I saw Yoli getting undressed then I clenched my jaw.

I thought about getting out of the room quite a couple of times but everytime I laid my eyes on her, my mind became blank again. I was in that trance now. Felt like I was in and out of consciousness. Everytime I look away I felt fine, but when I looked her way I was sleep again.

I was distracted by my phone ringing. When I saw the caller ID I immediately regained consciousness then get out of the room without a word or even look at Yolisa.

I answered the phone as I was going down the stairs.

-Baby. I said.

-Are you still okay?

-Uhm yeah... I'm safe. I said as I made my way to the sitting room.

-Are you still at the restaurant or....? She asked as I switched on the TV, but immediately put it on silent.

-No actually. I dropped the kids, but as I was about to leave Yolisa wouldn't let me, so yeah... But I'm still in the house.

-Why wouldn't she let you?

-I'm tipsy. She doesn't want me driving.

-So you are spending the night there?

-No. Well not really. Imma sleep for maybe an hour then come home. I just wanna get this alcohol out my system. But Imma probably leave Lihleli here cause she'll be asleep.

-So now you listen to Yolisa?

Yolisa POV

After Andile left the room, I already knew the call was from her little mistress. So I quickly put on my gown then after five minutes I got out of the room. I heard her voice coming from the sitting room so I snuck there and stood by the entrance of it and eave dropped on their conversation.

"No. Well not really. Imma sleep for maybe an hour then come home. I just wanna get this alcohol out my system. But Imma probably leave Lihleli here cause she'll be asleep." Andile said then stayed quiet for a few seconds. Liyema was probably responding now.

"No. You know damn well I don't do that kinda madness. It's just sometimes ones gotta remember she has children, and what if something happens while I'm on the road? Then what?" She responded.

Then she was quiet. "I know what I do, but I should still avoid it right?" She asks.

She is quiet. "I mean, yeah I drove but what does that matter. Yoli was in-" she stops.

"Yolisa, Yoli, same shit." She finishes then is quiet. She lets out a sigh as she removes the phone from her ear and puts it on loud speaker.

"No Andile, it's not the same. As a matter of fact, that is hella disrespectful." Liyema says through the speakers.
