The next two days went by extra slow

The next two days went by extra slow. Marcus and Billy were still acting really weird around me and I had no clue why. Willy never talked to me anymore, even though we never talked that much in the first place, now he won't even shoot me a smile back. Maria seemed to get a lot cockier, when we passed each other in the halls or class or she would see me somewhere, she smirked and shook her head with a stupid chuckle. And Saya, who usually jumped at any opportunity to glare at me, stopped doing it, even when I glared at her, she wouldn't do it back. The cheap smell Marcus wore the first night back also stayed the next two days and Chico still hadn't come back from Vegas.

It's now Wednesday morning and I woke up to kicking something in my bed. At first I thought it was Marcus or even Petra but when I opened my eyes and looked it was a basket of snacks. Confused, I looked over to my nightstand and sitting there, was about four or five vases or flowers, a few balloons and a pile of envelopes. I got out of bed and went over to the flowers and balloons checking for the cards. One from Rosa, one from Juan, one from Petra, one from Santiago, and one from my brother.

Next to the vases and balloons was a small stack of envelopes. I looked through them briefly. One from Petra with a sweet letter inside and some pictures of us. One from Billy, it had a really cool drawing of my name in bubble letters along with a gift certificate for ice cream. And one from Lex with a simple Happy birthday written on the card with a joint taped under the sentence with a smiley face; that made me laugh. There was another envelope, one slightly thicker then the others. I flipped it over and on the front it said "to my princess from pá" I opened it and inside was a medium sized stack of cash and a white ribbon.

Attached to the bouquet my brother got me was a few balloons, one was a heart, one said "Happy Birthday" in cursive letters and the last was a red rose. I went over to the basket on my bed and inside were all my favorite snacks along with a very small cake with frosting flowers on it. I picked the card up, the front read "To Ona from big brother" with a little heart. I smiled realizing my brother was finally back. I rushed to the bathroom and showered a quick hot shower. When I got out I changed into my uniform then curled my hair, putting half up leaving half down and tying the white ribbon in a bow.

I grabbed my things and rushed out my room, heading over to Chicos. When I got to his dorm I opened the door with a big smile, ready to shout how thankful I was but, he wasn't in the room. I stood there confused then figured he was probably in Rosas room or the cafeteria already. I made my way over to Rosas dorm and knocked on it before going in. No one answered so I opened it only to find another empty room. I closed the door and made my way to the cafeteria, when I got there my eyes scanned the room, my eyes landing on my table.

I did another quick check through the seats, but he wasn't there. I sluggishly walked over to my seat and was immediately greeted with a big hug and kiss on the cheek from Juan "feliz cumpleaños" he whispered once we pulled away "thank you" I whispered back with a smile. "You're wearing a white ribbon" Juan said in adoration, I smiled and nodded. I got a few more happy birthdays from the very few people who knew then I decided to ask about my brother "so, where's my brother?" I asked Rosa. She shrugged "still in Vegas" I laughed a nervous laugh "but he put...flowers and balloons in my room...he put the-the basket?"
