Marcus's POV:

The next morning, I got up and went to look for Ona in the cafeteria but she wasn't there. I went and sat with my group and Petra didn't look so scared anymore, just super hungover. "So, did you find her?" I asked when I sat down. This caught everyone by surprise because I hadn't really talked about Ona in a while "yea...she ended up going back to the penthouse. She said she just wanted to go for a walk, clear her mind I guess" I nodded and they all stared at me suspiciously "that's good" she nodded then went back to her food.

After a while Ona finally walked in with Juan and Santiago at her side, along with her bodyguards like always. She was wearing a pair of jeans and the school hoodie, her hair was curled and she looked perfectly fine compared to literally everyone else in the school. In a way it was kind of scary, she was shit face drunk the night before and now she was walking around like there was never a party. Once she sat down and Juan, Santiago and the goons left her side to go get food, I got up quickly heading over to her "I'll be back" I blurted out. I went over and stood at the end of the table, they all stopped talking and stared at me, but Ona didn't look at me. She finally turned to see what everyone was staring at and her nose scrunched up in confusion.

"Can I talk to you...in private" she jerked back and laughed "no" was all she said before turning back around to who she was talking to "it's really important, could we just talk for like a min" before I could finish she was shutting me up "I already said no...don't you have a girlfriend to bug?" Her gang laughed and the guys came back "something wrong?" Santiago asked his voice deep and chilling, he stood behind Ona's chair, placing his tray on the table and his hands on her shoulders "nope, I was just leaving" he nodded and I turned on my heel going back to my seat. "What?" I asked when I sat back down and realized Lex Billy and Petra were all staring at me "a week ago you wouldn't even let us talk about Ona around you and now you're trying to talk to her in private?" I shrugged and took a bit of my food "do you still like her or something?" Billy asked "no, I just needed to ask her something, it's not a big deal" they all shared a look before going back to whatever else they were doing.

For the rest of the day I tried getting Ona to talk for just a minute but she wasn't having it. At some point in time Maria caught on to what I was doing and got angry at me once again. It wasn't until after the last class and everyone was going back to the dorms when I noticed Ona walking to the bathrooms. It's creepy I know but, I followed her and waited outside the door. After a little while she was walking back out the door and I finally stopped her. I grabbed her arm making her pullout her knife and hold it up to my neck. I stared down at her, wide eyes and hands in the air "fuck can you just leave me alone Arguello?" She groaned before going to turn away

"Can we just talk really fast" I said making her come to a temporary stop "please Ona" I added. She sighed, looked up and down the hallway then pulled me into the restroom. She locked the door behind her then leaned against the wall "what do you want?" She asked, her eyes like daggers. I took a deep breath "did you mean it?" She shrugged with a raised eyebrow "did I mean...what?" I felt my eyes flutter in confusion "what you said last night?" She shook her head and almost chuckled "that I needed another drink? Yea I did mean it" I shook my head "No-no we talked last night, you kept telling me you missed me and you loved me. Did you mean it"
