Now, I could've just showed back up at school with my new set of 'bodyguards' and a slightly different attitude but...I didn't think that was very fun. So since I was annoyed with the fact Maria burned almost every bridge we had at Kings, I decided to fuck with her a little. I had Juan and the other go around school and tell people I was coming back to school, and was out for heads. I told them I wanted Maria terrified, Juan said they came with up with the idea to stick notes and stuff to her locker saying stuff like "she's back" or "hide" or "step down" just things to scare her, which I enjoyed.

The day I left was gloomy and rainy. I said goodbye to Rosa and the babies then was stuck on a plane with Santiago. He bugged me the entire ride, he asked millions of questions, things like who "we" hated, who "we" liked, who "we" could and couldn't talk to and eventually I snapped "I don't care who you talk to, so long as you don't give up my information and it isn't Maria" he dramatically dropped his jaw "why can't I talk to Maria? We were all like best friends!" He said in her defense. I rolled my eyes "yea well, now she's a two faced bitch, so I suggest you stay away, if you enjoy your life" he scrunched his face confused "what does that mean?...do you think she killed Chico?" I stayed silent for a second, the idea definitely bounced through my head a few times. "Yea, I do" I finally said.

When we landed back in San Francisco, the weather was the exact same, gloomy and dark. Juan picked me and Santiago up at the airport and the other guys followed in a separate care behind us. When we got to the school, I made sure everyone but Maria knew I was officially back. I told them to continue to act like she had some sort of power but completely ignore every word she said. While everyone was in class, me and the guys settled into our dorms, I unpacked and re-decorated my dorm. We all tried our best to stay in our rooms, Juan bounced from every room just to check if we needed anything.

It wasn't until classes had ended that Juan told me Maria was getting angry no one was doing what she said. That's when I decided I was going to say hello. I walked down the halls, Santiago on my left and Juan on my right with the rest of the guys walking behind us. It felt like a movie, as we passed each person and group they all whispered or jerked back in shock. When we got to the cafeteria where everyone was at for study hall, it went silent. The only thing you could hear was the sound of pens dropping and Maria complaining.

With a smirk, I went and stood behind her. The three guys from the gang she was yelling at smiled and nodded at me "what the fuck are you smiling  about?" She hissed at them. They tried their best not to laugh and I cleared my throat. She turned around angrily, like she was about to start going off but, her face dropped when she came eye to eye with me "Ona..." was all she said, I continued to smile "Maria...why are you yelling at my people like you're somebody?" She let out a breathless chuckle "y-you're dad, he gave me permission-told me I had to run the gang" I hummed as she continued to scramble for words

"Yes, but I'm back now so, why were you yelling at my people?" She stayed silent and I heard a few chuckles from behind me. She looked over to the group of people I was with and her eyes landed on Santiago "Santi! Hi!" She said excitedly, my guess was to change the subject. It didn't work though, he simply stood there with a clenched jaw and his arms crossed over one another "I didn't know you were in the states, when did you come back?" she added "when they told me Chico was being put in the ground" he said sternly. She fell silent then cleared her throat "I didn't know you were back, if I did I wouldn't be yelling at them, they just weren't doing what they were told to" she said in self defense.
