A/N: words: 2123. hello everyone. another day another slay, i love this chapter so much its not even funny. i am once again thanking y'all for your comments. they mean the world, truly. anyway, enjoy!

"Sam, believe me, I've seen them all. The best thing to do is just ignore it." Rhodey suggested over the phone. Sam sighed, nodding his head.

"Yeah, I know, we know. It's just- it's everywhere." Sam said, sounding defeated. Sounding as if the world knocked the wind from his chest.

"Yeah, I get that. Find something to distract yourself, I don't know. I heard SWORD was trying to recruit more avengers. Maybe stop by there." Right, SWORD. He had talked to Monica a few times, especially after the rumours started about a week ago.

"Yeah, I'll try that. Thanks Rhodes, I don't wanna keep you too long." He heard Bucky scoff from behind him. Probably because it wasn't even a 5 minute phone call, but Sam still got guilty when he kept people for too long.

"Not a problem, Sam. Hopefully I'll see you around."

"Hopefully." And the line went dead. Sam sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. He shoved his phone into his pocket, walking away from the kitchen and towards Bucky. "Ready to go become avengers in a failing attempt to distract ourselves from Twitter?"

Bucky smiled softly at him, watching as Sam padded over to him, a tired expression on his face. "Sorry all this happened, doll." Bucky said softly, watching as Sam fell into his arms, exhaustion taking him over.

"Its fine." Sam mumbled, leaning his head on Bucky's shoulder. Bucky brought his hand up to cradle Sam's head. They stayed like that for a little while, just enjoying each others company.

"I've been cheated by you since I don't know when." Bucky sang softly, causing Sam to smile.

"So I've made up my mind, it must come to an end."

"Look at me now, will I ever learn. I don't know how, but suddenly I lose control." They both sang in unison. With no warning, Bucky spun Sam away from him, making him almost lose balance. Bucky grinned at him, watching as Sam stumbled around their kitchen. "THeres a fire within my soul."

"Just one look and I can hear a bell ring."

"One more look and I forget everything."

They continued singing and dancing until they were a breathless, laughing mess in the small space of their kitchen. Bucky dipped Sam, twirled him around, almost causing everything on the counters to fall off. Bucky could see the tension drain from Sam's body. Everything that happened from the past week, all the stress drained from Sam as they danced in the afternoon sun. A perfect distraction.

4 days, and the media has toned down a bit. The remaining Twitter threads were really just a bunch of teenagers saying they 'ship it' which sent Sarah into hysterics for a solid 2 minutes. It feels like a relief, when Sam wakes up, and sees that his phone wasn't filled with Twitter notifications, and just one timer saying Anniversary. The fact shouldn't have been Sam grin like he did, considering this is the 3rd time he got the notification, but the first time wasn't such a swell time.

He turned to Bucky, the metal arm draped over Sam's torso. "Buck." Bucky barely moved, but he did make some sort of frustrated grumble. Sam smiled softy. "Can't believe I've dealt with you for four years." More or less.

"What?" Bucky mumbled sleepily, making Sam grin wider.

"It's the twenty ninth of August, robo."
