It was the last day of their honeymoon. They were laying in one of the best hotels in Bucharest, Bucky tracing the bare skin of Sam's torso, up to his collarbone, across his jaw, his touch light, Sam's head pillowed on chest.

"You ready to go home?" Bucky murmured.

"Not really. Don't really wanna go back to work." Sam answered, sighing as Bucky brought his hand to his shoulder, rubbing tense spots. "Missions and briefing and press conferences are the last thing I want right now." Bucky hummed.

"3 weeks weren't as long as they seemed."

"No kidding." Sam grunted. "Sarah texted me, though. Said the boys really miss us." Bucky smiled, his hand finding a spot on Sam's waist. "They wanna stay over when we get back, by the way."

"We need to go to IKEA."

"How does that relate to anything I just said?" Sam asked, getting a kick in the shin in return. "Rude. And, besides, you're god awful in IKEA."

"You're the worst, I wasn't that bad." Bucky argued.

"Yes, you are! We were there for hours."

"I'm picky."

"You're a menace, that's what you are." Sam mused. Bucky rolled his eyes.

"I'm just saying." Bucky muttered. "We keep having people over, and they have nowhere to go."

"I realize that, but if we go together, that might end our marriage." Bucky scoffed in offence.

"Nah, I'm irresistible, you'd come running back to me in a heartbeat."

"Oh, would I now?" Sam asked, turning on Bucky's arm. His husband grinned at him, hands moving to cup his jaw, closing the small gap between them. As if Sam would run away from this.

"The cats not dead." Bucky exclaimed as Alpine came running as they opened the door. Sam rolled his eyes, setting their bags down at the front door. Bucky had Alpine in his arms by the time Sam looked up, muttering something to her.

"Oh, I'm sorry, am I interrupting something?" Sam asked, eyebrow raised. Bucky rolled his eyes.

"He's just jealous." Bucky muttered to the cat, who had nestled her head against Bucky's neck.

"Oh my god." Sam muttered, shaking his head. "I'll leave you two alone, then." Sam added, flopping down on the couch. Bucky smiled, smug, and went to sit on their love seat, Alpine finding her spot in his lap. Sam's phone buzzed from the pocket of his hoodie, and Sam let out a breath of relief when the name read out Sarah.

"Hey, Sarah."

"Hi, you guys home?" She asked.

"Just got home." He answered.

"The boys were wondering if they could go over for the weekend." Sarah said in a way that made Sam think the boys were sitting in front of her as the call went on.

"Sure." Sam answered.

"Great, I can finally hear the end of this." Sarah said after a pause, her voice changing, signifying that the boys had left the room. "Sorry, I know you just got back, but I didn't know when you'd be able to have them next."
