"Will you wake up already?" I heard her voice, but it sounded far away. Maybe because I wasn't fully awake.
"How come you always wake up before me?" I yawned and sat on the bed.
"There are many reasons I guess." she said and sat right next to me on the bed. Drinking her morning coffee as usual.
"I'm sure I slept before you, and..." I interrupted.
"Please Daisy, spare me another of your 'All successful people wake up early' Lectures." I said, and she laughed.
"So what does my masseuse want for breakfast?" she asked me still smiling.
"Don't call me that." I blushed.
"I won't lie, that was one of the best massages I've had in a while."
Really? So she liked it?
"Well I'm glad you liked it." I said, removing the sheet from my body.
"Liked it? I loved it."
You love me? Is that what she said? I asked myself, expecting my inner voices to clarify, but none spoke, I guess they were still sleeping.
"Well, thank you too for..." I lowered my head.
"For what?" she gave a lopsided grin.
"Everything...everything."
We both laughed.
"So where did you learn these massaging skills from?"
"YouTube?" she asked and laughed.
"Definitely not YouTube" I said and laughed too.
"High School I reckon."
"Yeah I was taught all these in High School, when I was a member of the schools medical team." I said and rubbed my palm together.
"Wow, It feel like you can do everything." she said.
Yeah I can do everything including Loving you Daisy.
I thought, but the words feared to come out.
"Can I please have my breakfast already?" I rubbed my eyes.
"Will be back in a sec, Mr.Jellington" She smiled.
"Stop calling me that." I threw the pillow at her, as she was almost out of sight.
I could still hear her laugh from the kitchen.
Life was starting to feel good. It felt like Daisy meant what she said. She was really trying hard to change for me.
Can we get married already?
We continued with our normal banal routine of Daisy watching movies and listening to music all day long, while I also sat beside her reading J.K's book, but still chatting with her.
The remaining days of the week passed by too quickly. Well time really flies when you're having fun I guess.
Throughout the week, there were no ebbs and flows in Daisy's behaviour and moods. She had been seraphic all throughout the week. It feels weird to say, but I once asked her not to disturb me while I was reading. I didn't say it in a sassy way of course.
I continued to read the book, still trying to find any clues as to what the words and symbols boldly written with a different ink meant.
"You always look serious whenever you're reading that book." She said and came to sit next to me on the sofa.
"What's the book about anyway?"
What do I tell her? I don't even know much about the book.
I didn't know what to tell. Something that might make sense to her about the book. I kept scratching my cheeks with my right hands, while holding the book with the other hand. Confusion written all over my face.
