After Moonbin left, the little kitten leaped into Jennie's arms.

She stared at Moonbin's back, feeling puzzled.

His expression didn't seem very good.

Did he blame her?

Jennie had promised him that she would try to persuade Lisa to plead on his friend's behalf. However, Lisa was unwavering and she couldn't do anything else.

"Prosperous, come back!"

Suddenly, Prosperous New Year dashed out of the room.

The moment Thousand Bags Of Cash saw Prosperous New Year, it seemed agitated and it started struggling against Jennie's chest. It then sprang on its feet and chased after Prosperous New Year.

Both cats were rather tame and wouldn't run out of the mansion.

Jennie wasn't worried that she wouldn't find them. Instead, she was afraid that they might go to Lisa's study.

Helpless, she could only run after them and block their way outside the study.

She grabbed a cat with each hand and lifted them up.

The two cats stared at each other as they meowed continuously.

Jennie was about to leave when she heard an argument inside the study.

"Moonbin, that's enough... Brother L has his reasons for doing that. Rosé made a mistake and she should be punished. Why do you have to be so stubborn?"

Eunwoo's voice was heard from the study.

"Oh, so it's because of that girl..."

Jennie, who crouched below the window, muttered to herself.

That girl, Rosé, seemed to be on good terms with Moonbin. She should be one of Lisa's subordinates too but she seemed to have been punished.

"Brother L... As long as you allow her to come back, I will do anything. Brother L, give me a chance, please!"

Moonbin sounded desperate.

Lisa merely chuckled coldly in response.

"Who are you talking to?"

Lisa's voice rang out.

"Brother L..."

"Get out." Lisa then said calmly, "Or do you want to be with her?"

"Brother L, I understand. Sorry."

At last, Moonbin bowed his head and left the study.

Jennie felt sorry at the sight of his pathetic figure.

When she had first come to Cloud Manor, Moonbin had taken care of her.

It was a pity that she couldn't help him at all. She really was at a loss.

Actually, she was curious about Rosé. What had the girl done to incur Lisa's wrath?

Even if she wanted to help Moonbin, she had to know what had happened before she could do that. How could she approach Lisa again if she was clueless about the story?

Hence, Jennie rose and followed Moonbin. She decided to ask him for details about what had happened.

Jennie was about to call out to him when his phone rang.

As soon as Moonbin glanced at his phone, his expression froze.

Unconsciously, he surveyed the surroundings. He didn't see Jennie, who stood behind him.
