Chapter 14

“MUMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYY!” Cayden whines dragging on my arm

“What is it baby?” I ask sitting up

“I love you” he says kissing my nose. I scrunch my eyes and glare at him as he chuckles loudly.

“Do I get my hug?” he smiles and runs into my arms, giving me a cuddle “What do you want to do little man?”

“Swimming?” he asks

“Maybe soon baby, I don’t know when we get off the bus”

“In around an hour” Nate interrupts walking up to my bunk.

“In an hour baby” I tell Cay smiling.

“You should probably stop saying baby and daddy” Nate whispers into my ear, causing a punch to his stomach

“You’re disgusting” but the smile breaks, my serious comment.  He gives me a kiss on the forehead and wraps his arm over my shoulder

“Oh hell nah, ain’t no one touching my bi-”

“Rickey! Cayden’s in the room”

“I was gonna say bike” he lies, fake surrendering

“So what’s happening in here?” Rickey asks looking me up and down

“Cayden deserves a dad” I mutter quietly

“Mhmm, and someone needs their daddy” he murmurs

“RICKEY! BE QUIET!” I scream hiding my face in my hands. Cayden sits there with his hands in his lap, confused to the max. “Cay, go find Sammy” he nods as I pull him out of the bunk and he runs through the bus looking for Sammy. Rickey leaves muttering something under his breath and I roll my eyes at his stupidity.

“Why did Rickey call me your daddy?” Nate asks seductively in my ear, wrapping his strong arms around my waist from behind me, even though he knows already

“I may or may not have told him that someone has a daddy kink” I answer spinning around and adjusting his collar

“You wouldn’t?” his face going bright red “You’re going to regret that”

“Yea, sure I will” I tease patting his head like a puppy

The boys all sit by the pool, laying back in the chairs as Cayden sits by the pool, obediently waiting for someone to supervise him. I laugh as I see them in the chairs and quickly run up to Cayden from behind him, making him squeal, dragging the attention to us

“Damn girl” Rickey hollas fanning himself

“Nah dude, she mine” Nate immediately defends. The two argue between each other and I laugh at the fact that Nate doesn’t realise Rickey is like a brother to me and it completely disgusts us for us to be ‘together’. Cayden tugs on my leg, impatiently

“Mummy, swimming?” he begs. I pick him up and put him on my hip and walk down the steps in the shallow end, still keeping a firm grip on Cayden. Soft giggles fill my ears as the water pools around Cayden. He paddles his arms in circles trying to move, even though I have a pretty strong death grip attaching him to my hip.

Cayden snuggles into his crib in his dinosaur pyjamas as he hugs his teddy bear, tired from his day of swimming. I walk back to my bunk feeling a little dizzy and crawl under all of the covers. Unable to get comfortable I pull one of my pillows to my side and hug it as though it was a person. The clinking of the curtain rings, makes me turn to see who it is.

“Need a cuddle buddy?” Gilinsky asks softly, a kind smile spread across his face. I nod childishly and move the pillow, so that I can slide over to create more room. Doing our best in the small bunk, Jack slides onto his back and I cuddle into his side, as he places a soft kiss on my forehead.

“Night Deci”

“Night Jack, love you”

“Love you too chicke” the soft rock of the bus, coos me to sleep and soon I no longer have the power to keep my eyes open.
