"I will not let the Jotuns live just like their king left me to die." He hissed out, eyes burning green with a vengeance.

"But to wipe out a whole civilisation, a whole realm just to gain approval from Odin is madness!" (y/n) knew this whole plan was devised behind Loki proving his loyalty as a true Asgardian to Odin, to prove himself as Odinson but he shouldn't have to manipulate his entire being to just be deemed worthy of a title from some arrogant and selfish old man. "Loki, you don't need to wipe out your bloodline to prove your loyalty to Asgard. Your mother loves you as you are, your brother loves you as you are and I love you as you are. Bloodline, heritage, Laufeyson or Odinson, it doesn't matter to me because I care about the man in front of me now."

(y/n) hoped that her words would make Loki understand that he didn't need to do any of this, that he was only hurting himself and making himself miserable. Loki thought about this for a moment and he knew that she wasn't lying to him, knew that her words were true and that she meant every single one. His flower truly cared about him, Giant or Asgardian but being in the shadow of Thor his entire life overtook his rational.

"Loki please-" he ignores (y/n) as the horse stops in front of the Bifrost, jumping down onto the bridge before walking into the observatory and opening a portal when he plunges the sceptre into the gears. "Loki!" (y/n) gasps as she jumps down from the horse, stumbling over her feet as ice crept out from the sword and over the Bifrost. It spread across the rainbow bridge as the portal destroyed Jotunheim by ripping it apart, crackling with electricity when Thor arrives.

"You can't stop it. The Bifrost will build until it rips Jotunheim apart." Thor goes to break the ice but Loki stops him with the sceptre, blasting him away.

"Loki! They deserve to live!"

"Why!? Why is it that my life is ripped away from me and I cannot do the same to them!? How is it fair to me!?" (y/n) flinches back as Loki snaps at her, a frown settling on his face to know that he had frightened her.

"Why have you done this?"

"To prove to Father that I am the worthy son." Loki goes on and (y/n) just sighs from the repetition.

"You are Frigga's son as much as Odin's son! You do not need his approval when she has already, loving you as her own son!" (y/n) yells out, slowly getting frustrated. "You are her son Loki and she loves you!"

"Thor wasn't worthy of being king! He was immature and stubborn, craved violence-"

"-and you're not doing the same as him?" (y/n) whispers and both brothers look at her. "You call Thor immature, unfit to be king for his actions but aren't you doing the exact same thing-"

"-I never wanted the throne!" Loki yells out, hitting Thor before he could get to the sword again. "I only ever wanted to be your equal!" (y/n) understood that Loki never truly wanted to be king, he just wanted to be equally seen as a worthy son to Odin alongside Thor. His biological father left him to die and Odin was his only father figure and of course, he wanted to try and gain his love as one.

"I will not fight you, Brother!"

"I'm not your brother! I never was!" There was a hint of hurt and betrayal in Loki's voice as he comes to terms that Thor wasn't his brother like he grew up to believe.

"Loki, this is madness!"

"Is it madness!? Is it!?" (y/n) felt so bad as Loki teared up, absolutely pained that his brother would not be on his side. "Come on! What happened to you on Earth that turned you so soft!?" He felt like the one person that he loved was taken from him by a mere Midgardian woman, left behind and betrayed like his father. "Don't tell me it was that woman! Oh! It was! Well, maybe, when we're finished here, I'll pay her a visit myself!"
