"Are you escaping again?" (y/n) looks up from her bed when Loki sneaks into her room after a couple of days of playing king and going around Asgard to do kingly things. Their time together had been getting more scarce and short, something Loki didn't like. He wanted to be able to spend a whole day with her instead of walking around like a ghost during the night. This time, he had escaped for the day away from being Odin.

"Most definitely." Loki groans out as he lies on the bed by (y/n)'s feet tucked beneath her blanket, an open but untouched book next to her.

"But I'm guessing it would be more entertaining to play tricks on people than being here no?"

"Are you bored?"

"Yes! I can't do anything other than reading or going to the markets. I can't even spar with Thor or Sif with them fearing they might break me." (y/n) moves to lay on the bed next to Loki as he turns on his back, looking over at Mörker that laid sheathed in its leather resting by the bedroom door. It was untouched and still, an old relic gathering dust and hiding away age-old tales of adventure on the battlefield.

Loki frowned that his flower was unhappy, turning to face her next to him as she was stretched out on the bed and yawned. "You are unhappy..."

"No! I'm happy!" (y/n) quickly turns to face Loki. "I'm happy here, with you." she moves closer to him shyly, nestling her head in the crook of his neck. The god melts from her sweet gesture, wondering where in his life his heart had softened for this woman.

Loki and (y/n) lay next to each other quietly on the bed, the girl raising her hand. The god watched her as she touched the ripples of cracks that thread across her skin, watched her sigh in frustration at her physical weakness and fragility that prevented her from sparring. (y/n) saw Loki also raise his arms next to her, both of their hands spread out as his skin turned blue from the wrist down. They both revealed what they thought were their weaknesses but saw the other as something special.

Loki saw (y/n)'s cracks as beautiful as the metal that shone and (y/n) saw Loki's heritage as beautiful as the colour of his hands. She moved one of her hands, turning to hold Loki's hand and entwining her fingers with his in a smooth manner. She played with her god's hand shyly as he turned to look at her again, smirking at how her cheeks were flushed from the simple action she acted on first. Loki moved their entwined hands to kiss the back of hers, leaning over to trail his finger against her cheek with his other hand. (y/n) closed her eyes and curled into Loki, him turning on his side to pull her into his chest.

He wondered why and how he was so lucky to have someone so caring be by his side.

"Stop pinching me!" (Y/n) yelps once more in pain as Loki squeezes the skin of her arm between his fingers, a frustrated look on his face.

"I will if you pay attention to me. I don't read for anyone who isn't worthy of my time." Loki huffs as the girl in his arms squirmed on his lap while he tried to read to her but she wasn't paying attention.

"Oh, so I'm worthy of the king's time huh?" She smirked as she turned her head to look at him. They both were sitting on (y/n)'s bed, Loki sitting up against the headboard with her secured in his lap. He had decided to read to her like she had done for him in the library.

"I can leave you here, leave you to your agonising boredom." Loki smirked as he saw the panic in his flowers eyes as she shook her head.

"No! I'll listen, I'll listen! Jeez." She grumbles quietly, nestling back against her god's chest as he relished in the victory before reading again. Loki leaned up to pinch (y/n)'s cheek and she swats his hand away, earning a light chuckle from him before he pulls her closer.
