Before I could even think straight, I realized that the month would end tomorrow.

Tumango lang ako at agad na bumalik sa kwarto para magbihis.
The General is quite busy with tomorrow's festivity. I want to see the place. I'm not fond of province life. I like buildings, smoke, and city lights. That's my haven.
Hinayaan kong si Miss Kaya ang magdrive. I told her to just roam around the capital. And somehow, nalibang naman ako.
With my aviator, I can see the colorful banners and decorations around the coastal community. There are more tourists than expected. It was Kuya's duty to come here every year, not mine. The first and last time that I came here, was back when I was still a child they said. I don't clearly remember. It's just a faint memory. Maybe not true at all.

"No, it's okay. Hintayin mo ako dito." Nagmadali akong bumaba at iniwan si Miss Kaya.
Damn. That woman is kind but strict and cold. I like her but she was so loyal to the General. Can't bribe her. Mabuti at hindi na bumaba.
Naglakad ako sa centro. May mga taong nagkakabit ng kung ano-anong palamuti. Nang mapagod at makita kung saan gaganapin ang pista, nagsawa na ako at bumalik sa sasakyan.
Dumaan rin ako sa mga bilihan at bumili ng kung ano ano. Hindi ko rin alam kung para saan. We went home after that. Hapon nang matahimik ako sa bahay. Natulog na lang ako sa kwarto kaysa harapin ang mga bisita ng General.
And today, I feel a bit excited.
Alas singko pa lang, may mga dumadaan na dito para mag abot ng pagbati sa General.
Humayo na kami at pumunta na sa bayan.
It was a peaceful ceremony for the country's friendship day with Spain. This is the only thing that excites me. The spanish people. The guy who doubled his look, winked and secretly glances at me while I observe.
Mainit. Iyon ang laman ng isip ko paglipas ng halos dalawang oras na nakatayo.
The street was full of high-ranking officials in the whole country. There are few colleagues but I didn't have a chance to greet them as I am heavily guarded. Nag-iisip tuloy ako ng paraan para makawala kay Miss Kaya ngayon.
Parang gusto ko sa beach dahil sa sobrang pawis. Damn it. With this barong, I only need a coffin so I can rest, in fucking peace.
Akala ko matatapos ng ganoon lang ang seremonya. Standing beside the huge tree, my eyes hawk in a familiar face.

I waited for the ceremony to end. I watched big-time personas exchange their greetings. General introduced me to some famous local artists and colleagues. I didn't get attached that much even when I saw my crush. He looks hot as hell. He greeted me but my eyes didn't leave my asshole boyfriend.

Nang makabawi ay humalakhak siya ng tawa.

Hinila niya ako bigla at siniil ng halik. Kumalas agad ako doon at nakita ko ang galit sa mga mata niya. Ngumisi siya pero ramdam kong totoong galit iyon. "You're a damn cheater. You deserved it."
Umiling ako sa sinabi niya.
"I thought we were cool!"
Tumawa siya at hinagod patalikod ang buhok niya.
"You were slutting in my own house that night. Do you think I'll let it slide? Les, aren't you satisfied with me? That when I bought another person, you fucking enjoyed us? Shitty head!"
I gasped and tears started to form in my eyes. I look at him with my bloodshot eyes.
So he thinks this way too?
That fucking with everybody is fine for me? He is my boyfriend! And I didn't fucked anybody while we were together!
"I was drugged!" Sigaw ko.
"And I wasn't?" Kunot noo niya.
"You should've stopped me-"

Hinampas ko siya sa dibdib at binuksan ang pintuan.
"I'm done with you!" Bago ibinagsak ang pinto ng itim nilang van.
