I slipped my hands up Remus's shirt, tracing my fingers over the natural contours of his body. He groaned against my lips, his fingers digging into my hips tighter. I pushed his robes off of his shoulders, and then wrapped my arms around his shoulders, scooting further up his lap.
"You're so attractive," I mumbled into his cheek as he pulled away to take a deep breath. I wound my fingers in the hair that rested on the nape of his neck, watching his cheeks fill with color. Without a word, he tugged at my robes, and I quickly threw them off, peppering kisses on his face.
"Careful," he mumbled, his grip on my waist tightening as I readjusted on his lap. He was seated on his chair, paranoid that I would somehow lose my balance, even though I was secure straddling him. I cupped his cheeks and pulled his lips back to mine, feeling him relax instantly, his grip loosening.
His breaths came heavily and frequently as I trailed my lips down to his neck, feeling him drop his head to the side. I kissed the skin over his artery, where I could feel his pulse, strong and quick. A breathy moan slipped from his lips, encouraging me further.
"Don't leave any marks," he muttered half-heartedly, not seeming too concerned as he ran his fingers through my hair.
"I won't," I responded, kissing the underside of his jaw. His eyes fell shut.
I jumped at a knock on the door, feeling Remus's hands close around my wrists to hold me steady. I scrambled off of his lap and smoothed my hair down, taking a seat at my desk.
"Come in," Remus called, tossing me my robes from the floor. I draped them over the back of my seat as the door opened, revealing Professor Snape. My heart was pounding in my chest, but I did my best to appear nonchalant as Snape entered with a steaming goblet in his hand.
"You know," Snape began, fixing Remus with a sharp glare, "I have better things to do than track you down to give you your potion."
"I'm sorry, Severus," Remus said. "I must have lost track of time."
"Is there something more important than the potion, Lupin?" Snape asked, his eyes flitting to me as he set the goblet down on Remus's desk.
"No, Severus. As I said, I just lost track of time," he said with a friendly smile. I looked back to the papers that were on my desk, long forgotten after Remus had asked me a question and I had ended up on his lap.
"I would like to not have to interrupt tomorrow," Snape said with a scowl on his face.
"You're not interrupting," Remus said. "I'm sure the break from grading is welcome, wouldn't you say, Miss Y/L/N?"
"Oh, sure," I said and nodded, meeting his eyes.
Snape's lip curled as he looked between us. "You aren't fooling anyone." With that, he turned on his heel and left the classroom.
I raised my eyebrows and looked at Remus, lost for words. "He was pleasant as always," I said and frowned.
"He was," Remus said, rubbing his hands over his face. "It's your fault, you know? You distracted me and made me lose track of time."
"My fault?" I asked with a chuckle.
"Yes, your fault," he responded with a grin growing on his face. "You're distracting. We were supposed to grade until seven, when I was supposed to meet Severus for the potion. How much of that did we accomplish?"
"I got some grading done," I said and looked at the two papers that I had finished grading.
"I graded one question," he said.
