(William's POV)
"It's beautiful here, isn't it?" Ida says while stretching, we just settled our campment in a clearing half-way to the temple, as planned. We're already high enough to be overlooking quite a view. I guess it's normal after climbing this mountain for the whole afternoon. Now the sun is about to start setting. "Lin, what do you think?"
"Do I really have to share a tent with you?" Lin mumbles back.
"Oh my god she's making jokes! We're besties now!" Ida squeals in excitement and Lin mutters something like 'it wasn't a joke'. "Come Lin I need to introduce you to someone! Her name's Kala she's a friend of mine and I'm sure you're gonna love-" Ida's voice slowly fades away as the two girls walk away, Ida blabbering, Lin muttering curses under her breath, she acts like she hates her but I know that if she really wanted to she would have refused to follow Ida.
"I guess you and I will share a tent then if-" I start but cut myself off when Tom throws his most iciest glare in my direction, "or I could find another tent and leave you alone!" I rectify.
He nods, probably satisfied.
You might think that because of my injured arm we would go easy on me or even offer to find another place to sleep to let me be alone in the tent, but no...
Yes I only stayed two hours in that hospital just to disinfect the wound and stitch it up but still...
"Did you hear about what the girls planned for tonight?" Suddenly another voice appears, a group of three male students stop nearby, "tonight during the firecamp you have to confess your feelings to the person you like," one says.
"In my opinion it's just an excuse so that people can get laid more easily," Another one cuts in and the three chuckle.
"Yeah you're probably right, you heard that buddy?"
"What?" I recognize this one, I saw him with Ida a few times, I think his name is Carl, Carl Delmost.
"Tonight's the right time to do council girl, wait for the firecamp and bam! You take her to your tent and send her to a moaning paradise!" One of his mates nudges him and he scowls.
"You don't need to tell me that, I know what I have to do," Carl smirks before leaving his two friends who are cheering for him as he walks away. I guess they're right, the point of this trip is to have fun after all but wait...'council girl' could it be...
Suddenly it's like we lost a thousand degrees, the atmosphere gets freezing cold, I look around until my gaze finds the origin of this, Tom, he does not look pleased...at all.
(Ida's POV)
"And then...and then...I can't! Kala, tell her!" As the whole world can tell because I keep snorting like a pig, I just can't stop laughing.
"And then we almost hit the road sign!" Kala and I both burst out in laughter as Lin stares at us blankly. She then stands up and proceeds to walk away.
"Wait where are you going?" I call out after her.
"Finding a tree to hang myself," Comes her response. Typical Lin!
"She's fun right?" I ask Kala who nods back.
"She's adorable! And so calm...it's nice, it gives us loads of time to talk," she rightfully points out and I nod.
A comfortable silence settles until, two seconds later, Kala breaks it. "So tell me about bushes boy," she looks at me with widened eyes, waiting for some juicy gossip.
"Bushes boy?" I frown but then understand, "is that how we call Sebastian Poll now?"
"Pole? Wow, how was it?"
