As I wake up, even before opening my eyes, I feel different things.
First there's a weight on my back, it's an arm I think. Then there's a sort of radiator right next to me, probably a human body. Last not but not least, there's a warmth shielding my whole body, apart from my ears. My ears are frozen, they're ready to fall off my body and it can only mean one thing.
"Why do you always sleep with your window wide open?" We're in winter for god's sake!!
"Good morning to you too," A deep and sleepy voice echoes from beside me. This goddamn living blizzard is trying to make me fit into his icy world where everything is freezing cold, even his bedroom in the morning.
"I don't even know if I have ears anymore..." I hide under my pillow. I'm sure they are this purplish colour now, I swear they're gonna fall off!
Suddenly the pillow above my head is being lifted as the mattress bounces, anonymous lips place a warm kiss on my frozen ear, "you need to toughen up, the world out there is cold like this weather," I mentally roll my eyes (because I don't have enough energy yet to do it for real).
"I can't toughen up if I'm dead," I groan.
"You should stop being dramatic too."
I sit up on the mattress and glare at Tom, "is there something I can be?"
He looks up at me, almost innocently as he leans on his elbow to prop his body up, "my girlfriend," oh.
"What?" I frown.
"We've never discussed what we were, so I'm telling you now, you are my girlfriend," Why does this sound like an order?
"You should ask rather than inform me like I'm some business partner," I fold my arms.
"I don't ask, Miss Abberline, I take."
"What you should take is a modesty lesson," I snort. Who does he think he is? Irresistible? Probably. Incredibly sexy? For sure. Surprisingly good looking in the morning? maybe. Goddammit!
"How to be modest when you have the most beautiful girl in your bed," he smirks and I wince, what a cliché pick-up line.
"Whatever, I'm cold," I say, ready to get out of bed and get dressed. And add a plaid. And another plaid. And another. But apparently Mr Block of ice has other plans for me.
He wraps his arm around my stomach and pulls me back to bed, he covers us with the duvet and then rolls onto me to cover me with his body.
"I can't breathe!" I complain but he only hums in answer, his head nuzzled in my neck and his two arms circling my back like they're not ready to let go in another thousand years. I can't help but soften, he's cute.
"Can I issue a request?" He asks, breaking the perfect silence that had settled.
"What is it?"
"I can't handle spooning anymore, the sensation of your ass against my crotch is too much of a tease and if it keeps going like that I'm gonna burst soon," oh...
He's pretty blunt. "I appreciate your honesty."
"Thank you."
"Then you do realise that right now your crotch is pressing against my crotch?" I say that to help but understand that it was probably not the cleverest thing to say as something seems to be hardening between us, literally. "Tom!"
"Don't blame me, you're the one voicing erotic facts," erotic facts? He feel him inhale the scent of my skin before he lowers his head from my neck slowly until...
