How's Antarctica? I mean to live, I heard it's peaceful and quiet. Oh I know what people say about this place, that it's too cold or too hostile but if you had the coldest eyes on Earth piercing your soul and sending horrible shivers down your spine I think you would agree that in the end, Antarctica is not that bad...
"It's not what you think!" I interject and push Sebastian's arm off me. "He sneaked into my room and I've been trying to make him go but I didn't want you to know he was even here that's why I didn't let you in and-"
"Miss Abberline," His hard voice cuts me off, "join me, right this instant," he holds out his hand and I feel conflicted, a part of me is like 'don't make him more mad than he already is' but the other is like 'Who does he think he is?!'
Sebastian's grip tightens, "why are you so scared, Tom?" my back is pressed against his chest and his mouth seems to be close to my ear according to the intensity of his voice.
"Are you scared I might hurt her or are you scared she might prefer me to you?" I can't see his face but I'm sure that his usual smug smirk is plastered on his face right now.
"Sebastian, let go," I warn, sounding way more serious than I thought I could, "I'm sick of you using me just to piss off Tom," I'm sure he doesn't even like me, it's all a game to him.
Sebastian lifts his hands in surrender, still smirking, still dripping with overconfidence but at least, he did what I asked.
As soon as he's off me Tom starts racing up to DELV's sneaky head student, probably ready to offer him a nice and cheap facial reconstruction if you know what I mean. So before he gets too close I step in front of him and cling on whatever I can which happens to be his hand, that makes him stop dead in his tracks.
"Leave, before I take care of you myself," Tom groans and Sebastian chuckles.
"Hear a lot of these threats," he looks at Tom in disbelief, honestly I don't believe Tom would actually beat him up either, not that he couldn't but I don't picture him fighting... "Oh and, Ida, remember our little deal," He smirks at me and I screw my eyes shut, Tom frowns and I realise that it's exactly what Sebastian wanted, now I'm gonna have to tell Tom about the ball.
Sebastian managed once again to use me...
Once Douche man is gone I can feel Tom's eyes burning my back.
"You should have called for me the second you saw him,"
"He's not that dangerous," I roll my eyes. It's true he seems a bit too cocky to be someone nice and normal but in the end, Sebastian never did anything to hurt me.
"You should have called one of us, we have the right to know when-" he cuts himself off, he's breathing heavily and he seems so mad. I never really got to understand what was up between these two but apparently it's intense enough to make Tom that mad.
"I wanted to handle this on my own, you must have called me childish a thousand times and you're right, I am childish but I'm trying to change, I listen when people talk to me and I do my best to not disappoint them," I stand in front of him. I might not be perfect but at least I try my best to be my best self.
His face softens for a second and I notice the way his shoulders relax a bit, that is until his face hardens again and he seems to be hesitating, he seems...torn. So Tom Edmonstone can be torn too...that's one hell of a piece of news. "Miss Abberline you..." the way he starts his sentence makes it sound like a threat but apparently he's not brave or furious enough to finish his sentence.
"What is that deal he was talking about?"
I have to be honest now, "Sebastian invited me to the Christmas ball," his eyes widen in surprise before his fists clench.
