"Don't you dare run away Ida!"
"But, Mr Pink Bear, I must go back to my honeycomb before sunlight..."
"Give me your maths test before you go,"
"Maths test? I didn't know!"
"Detention!"
"Miss Abberline."
"Tom?"
"Call me Mr. BDE,"
"Nooooooooooooo!!"
I slowly open my eyelids, phew, that was just a chaotic dream. As I slowly wake up I suddenly realise that I'm laying on something hard and hot and I can feel a lock of my hair being tugged a bit, almost like someone is twirling it.
For a second I doubt, is Mr Pink Bear real and must I go to detention or am I in bed with Tom after I accidentally fell asleep last night though I was supposed to lie down with him just for 'a bit'? Both possibilities seem plausible because after all, in what world would Tom Edmonstone be twirling a lock of my hair?
I think I'm lying on his chest, there's a pillow under my stomach and my whole body is covered by something heavy, probably a few blankets. The air in the room is freezing cold and for once it's not because of the Head boy, I can hear the wind blow in, this bastard sleeps with an open window in Winter?? It just makes me wanna disappear under the covers and stay there until the end of times.
I feel good here, I like the way our legs are intertwined, the way his chest rises and falls with every breath and I also like that he's playing with my hair, it's cute.
"Tom?" I mumble, still a little groggy and as soon as I utter his name the hand that was twirling my hair pulls back and I hear him clear his throat.
"Miss Abberline," I feel him stiffen a bit, did I just catch him red handed? "You're awake, it's about time, I've been trying to get out of this bed for an hour so will you please let go of me..." He takes his cold voice and even calls me by my family name while we're in bed, what a damn liar.
"Is that so?" I can't help but smirk, though he can't see it because I'm still lying on his chest.
"Absolutely! I have err...important matters to address and-"
"That's too bad," I pout, "I was planning on cuddling a bit more..."
There's silence before he clears his throat again, "I guess..." he acts hesitant, emphasis on 'acts', "I can authorise you to stay in that position for-"
"Five more minutes?" I look up and meet his brown eyes.
He frowns, "only five minutes?...I MEAN, yes! Five minutes, not one more."
I chuckle silently before placing my hand on his forehead, "are you feeling better?" I really hope I didn't catch his cold though, how would I go back to my honeycomb?
"I feel perfectly fine," he nods and I note a hint of annoyance in his voice, the strong Head Boy doesn't like to be looked after. "So how did yesterday go?" he's probably referring to him giving me his job for the day.
"Oh you know," I wave it off, "the routine. Changing the anthem of the school, throwing parties in your study..." His eyes widen slowly as I shrug.
"I never know if you're joking Miss Abberline,"
"Ida," Is it so hard to pronounce? "And I guess you'll have to wait until you get there to know," He gulps, I smirk, the usual.
(One week later)
"That's it!" I barge into Tom's study by slamming the door open, William jumps, Tom frowns at me as he lifts his eyes from whatever he is reading and Lin just glances at me before sighing and directing her gaze back on her laptop. "Someone is following me, whenever I go somewhere on campus I feel like someone is there, in the shadows, watching me," Probably some pervert, it makes me shudder...
