His lips on mine, they were soft and almost pillowy, his hands on my body, I noticed how it affected me. This happened the Saturday before the Christmas break and right now we're on Monday, the first day of school of this new year.
I'm in the Head boy's office with Lin, we're both working in silence...no, Lin is working in silence, I wished her a happy new year but then she daggered me with her eyes so I didn't push it, and now I'm blushing like an idiot because I can't stop thinking about what the fact that Tom is soon gonna walk through this door.
I wonder how things are gonna be now. I'm glad we confessed to each other and I loved to kiss him but...what now? Is he gonna be different? Is he gonna treat me...nicely at work? Ew, I don't want that, if he's nice then I can't be a brat and if I can't be a brat at work to mess with his head I don't think I'll be happy.
I don't know what it's going to be between us, we didn't talk after that night because the day after the ball I had to leave to go to my parents' for Christmas and I don't even have Tom's phone number even though, from what I understood, he only uses it for work, at least that's what I thought...because on-
"Stop blushing, it's hindering my brilliance," Lin hisses from her couch.
"But I'm not making any sound!"
"It's not about the sounds, it's about the vibes, it's like being in the same room with some ovulating MILF," What's a MILF?
"I'm not a MILF!"
"You don't even know what it means," Dang it! How does she know that??
Suddenly the door slams open and a Tom with something that looks like a satisfied smile walks in the room followed closely by William who just grins at us as he walks in.
I can't help but gulp, what if he suddenly kisses me in front of Lin and William, what if he starts treating me differently while working? Am I crazy for not wanting that?
I watch as Tom sits at his desk and I frown as I notice that he is eyeing a paper with his upper lip devilishly curled up.
"What's with the weird atmosphere?" Lin inquires without taking her eyes off her laptop.
"Um..." William clears his throat, "we have the list of the students who will have to leave PAAZ by the end of the week," Ugh that freaking list!
"About that list," I stand up and walk closer to the desk, "I have a new proposition to substitute this elitist process with something more adequate to encourage the growth and flourishing of the students it's-"
"Miss Abberline," I was wondering when he was gonna stop me, that bastard...with soft lips, "whatever it is that you're about to say I will gladly hear it next month, but it's too late for those on this list," he says sternly, a cold blizzard in his eyes as he looks up at me.
Does that mean he's gonna actually consider one of my propositions next month?? "So...you will hear me out next month?"
"Absolutely," he nods.
That's suspicious...what is so special about this list? "Can I see the list?" I step forward and hold out my hand.
He looks at me coldly, "no."
"Why?"
"You always say you don't want to know."
"But this time I want to know, show me the list Tom."
"Mr Edmonstone," he rectifies and I sigh loudly before snatching the list from his desk. "Miss Abberline," his voice warns, I read the names, nothing unusual until my eyes fall on...
"Carl Delmost..." I read out loud and see Tom stiffen a bit. So that's the reason behind such enthusiasm...
"Yes," he fixes his tie and straightens himself, "it's sad for him but he's gonna have to leave us...soon...forever...goodbye Mr. Delmost, or should I say Mr. Almost," Did he just...make a joke???
