You got the wagon ready for the trip to Rhodes. You ran your hand along the wooden sides as you made your way towards Charles. "You almost ready?" He asked as he hopped onto the wagon's seat. "Yep, all set." You climbed into the seat as Charles took the reins.

As the wagon started moving, you turned to look back at the camp, waving as Arthur watched the wagon leave. There was a small smile on his face as he waved goodbye to you, knowing you'd be back shortly.

"Just a few things we need to get. Mostly for Pearson." Charles dug into his pocket and pulled out the list that had a few items scribbled on it. You unfolded the list, skimming across the items. "He should be the one to start making these trips." You scoffed as you shoved the list into your back pocket.

"I don't mind it. Keeps me busy." Charles shrugged his shoulders and returned to focusing on the path. You relaxed as you watched the trees pass by the wagon. "It's been too quiet, you know?" You sat up straight as you stared into the trees.

"I know what you mean, but maybe it's a good thing." Charles said as he looked at you. "I know, but still." You shook your head and fell back into the seat. "Let's just get this trip over with." you crossed your arms over your chest as you slowly closed your eyes.

"While we're here, I might as well ask about you and Arthur." Charles leaned in, making sure you heard him. "What do you mean about Arthur and I?" You opened one eye, side-eyeing Charles.

"Come on. I mean, everyone knows y'all are together, it's just..." Charles trailed off as he tried to find his words. "It's just what? Neither I nor Arthur seem the type to be in love?" You laughed as Charles quickly looked away.

"No. Anyone can be in love. You too are just so secretive even though everyone can tell." Charles grinned as he looked over at you. "We may have something going on, and if people notice then whatever." You opened both your eyes and perked up in the wagon.

"Hold on." Charles calmly said as he slowed down the wagon. "What is it?" You looked around for any sign of danger, but there was no one in sight. "Look down at the road." Charles pointed directly in front of the horses and you could see the wire that ran between the trees.

"Shit." You cursed as you pulled out your revolver, standing up in the wagon to look around. The rustling in the trees caught your attention and you quickly turned to aim your gun at the noise. Charles joined you, aiming his weapon at the trees behind you. "Keep your eyes open." Charles whispered and you heard a twig snap. As you turned around to face the noise, a man jumped out from behind the wagon, his gun aiming at you as he grabbed onto your ankles.

Before you could fire off a shot, you were pulled by your ankle and you came crashing onto the solid ground. "Charles!" You screamed out as the man grabbed onto you, firmly holding you in a chokehold as more men poured from the woods. Your gun fell out of your hand as you struggle to break from the man's grasp.

Charles fired at the other men approaching him as the man holding onto you pulled you further into the woods with the help from a couple of more men. "Let me-" You shouted, but a hand flew up to keep you from talking.

You opened your mouth, biting down hard on the guy's hand and he quickly pulled it back. "Stupid bitch!" He yelled and raised his gun. You panicked when the gun came down on you, hitting you in the head. With one hit, you were sent into darkness.

Your vision went in and out as you felt the warmth come back to your body. "We're just gonna keep her like that? We could be doing other things." You heard a faint voice as your eyes fluttered open. You were met with the flames of a campfire right in front of you.

You went to move your hands, but they were bound together behind your back. You lifted your head up to look up above you. Your hands and feet were tied tightly to a tall tree. Your wrists were raw from rubbing against the bark.

You looked around to see the men that had captured you, enjoying themselves in their camp. Their torn up clothes and old-fashion gave away who they were. "Damn O'Driscolls." You muttered as your head hung low. It must've been hours since they attacked the wagon. It was already pitch black outside and the moon was as bright as ever.

"I say we have some fun with her before we kill her." One of the men turned towards you, a grimacing smile plastered on his face. "Not yet. We want to make sure she's fully awake to experience hell." A younger O'Driscoll said as he laughed, eyeing you from head to toe.

You stared at them, your eyes following their every move. "Fine, but just an hour or two more. We don't want them coming back for her." One of them stood up from around the fire and made his way towards you. "Don't worry Miss, we'll take good care of you." He pressed his hand to your cheeks, squeezing them tightly, forcing you to look at him. "Ain't that right, fellers?"
