"Come on, we ain't got all day." Arthur hurried Lenny and Charles as they helped stack the crates in the back of the wagon. You waited on the seat of the wagon, looking down at the group that gathered around as Arthur put the last of your belongings in the back. "You'll invite us to the wedding, right?" Abigail approached the wagon, Jack holding her hand as he looked up at you.

"Of course." You bent down over the edge of the wagon seat, embracing Abigail. "We'll be following you guys soon." She whispered in your ear and gave you a smile as you pulled away. "Have fun Mr. and Mrs. Morgan." Abigail stepped back from the wagon as Arthur hopped into the seat.

"Y'all are acting like we're leaving the country." Arthur rolled his eyes as he grabbed the reins of the horses. "Ya basically are." John patted him on the shoulder and gave him a tight squeeze. "Have a nice time out there." John moved back to stand next to Abigail and Jack.

"Be careful out there." Hosea emerged from the group with Dutch by his side. "Thank you, Hosea." Arthur smiled as he patted the side of the wagon. "Anything for you son, now get going before you lose to the light of day." Hosea looked at the sun as it was starting to get low. "Come on." You rested your hand on Arthur's thigh as the wagon began to move, following the path out of camp.

Something about knowing you're finally going to have your own home excited you. Having a roof over your head, your own space and your own responsibility. Most importantly, you were with Arthur.

When the wagon began to approach the home, you sat up straight, your eyes glued to the spot where the small ranch would appear. "You sure are happy." Arthur looked to you as you began to make out the ranch in the distance. "Why wouldn't I be." You shot him a smile before returning to look at the ranch.

It looked a lot better than the first time Arthur had shown it to you. It looked like a brand new house that was built from the foundation. The wood siding had been replaced, along with the roof. The wrap-around porch was fixed and no longer had random pieces of wood and nails sticking up.

"Ya like it?" Arthur pulled the wagon to stop in front of the house, directly in front of the door. "Arthur, it's amazing." You reluctantly hoped out of the wagon as Arthur did the same. You stepped onto the small stone path that led up to the porch, admiring the home that was now yours.

"I'm gonna get everything in the house, you just sit down." Arthur patte your back as he headed to the back of the wagon. "I can help ya." You started to walk towards the back of the wagon, but Arthur shot you a look. "You just rest darling." He shooed you away and you let out a sigh.

"Just cause I'm carry a kid don't mean I can't carry things." You shook your head and headed up the porch of the house. You gripped the handle of the door and slowly opened it to be greeted by the fresh smell of the wood.

A smile was plastered to your face as you wandered through the home, gliding your hands on the wooden walls. In the large open space that was set to be the living room was a small, comfy armchair that was facing the window.

You plopped down on the chair and watched out the window as Arthur unloaded the wagon and set the crates on the ground. Everything seemed perfect as you sat there, enjoying the silence of the house and the calm feeling of the area.

Your hand rested on your stomach, lightly rubbing as Arthur finished unloading the crates. After all those years of running and fleeing, you could finally rest.
