"i had to go to a doctors appointment on Valentine's day." i rolled my eyes, walking towards the building exit

"let's get some food, i'm starving" i buckled my seatbelt, sighing

i walked into dante's room, forgetting to knock

immediately met with a make out session

"oh shit, sorry." i yelled, closing the door

the door re-opened, and elena pulled me into the room

"what do you want." dante said, throwing his head back like a toddler

dante ran out the room, leaving us behind

elena rolled her eyes, walking down the stairs behind him

we sat down at our stools, inhaling the sweet smell of the fresh cookies my nonna made

beginning to decorate them

every valentine's day we would decorate cookies, and see who did the best

i bit into a sprinkle, underwhelmed by the taste

i thought it would be sweeter

cain started decorating his cookie, neatly coloring in the edges of the heart shape

"are you going to start decorating mia, or are you going to look at other people's ideas?" my nonno leaned on the counter in front of me
