MIO'S POV

i took a sip from my cold drink, caressing my assistant's arm

her cleavage exposed from her opened blazer

and her skirt tight and short

"when are you going to invite me over to your house again?" amala whined, leaning against me

"how about tonight?" i played with the hem of her skirt

"you have been so busy with that mia bitch." she frowned, placing her hands around my waist

i drove kisses down her neck, lightly sucking areas

her head tossing back, and her fingers gripping my arm

"boss, you're gonna love this." my door slammed open, and my assistant came running through

other assistant

the more incompetent one

"did you knock?" i yelled, pushing amala off of me

and signaling her to leave

"no, sorry i got exc-"

"what do you have?" i walked in front of my desk, leaning on it

"miarelle is engaged and pregnant by cain."

it felt as if my heart had stopped beating

time froze

and a twisting feeling in my stomach arose

"she is what?" i slammed my fist down on the table, papers sliding onto the floor

i took a deep breath, calming my breathing

supporting my body with my palms

then looked up at him, smiling

"maybe you're not so incompetent-"

"-harlow"

"malakai" i yelled

footsteps becoming louder outside of the door

"what" the swung the door open, colliding with the wall

"oops" he pulled the handle out of the dented wall

stupid bitch

"your sister is pregnant and engaged." i raised my eyebrows, walking over to him with hands in my pockets

"seems as though she is living great without you." i chuckled, poking my cheek with my tongue

MALAKAI'S POV

he lied to me

he told me he would drop my debt if i helped him

yea, i owe him money

and the mafia won't give me another loan until next year

it's fucking dumb

"you didn't tell me the girl would be my sister."

"surprise bitch" he knocked over his cup of pens

i balled my fists

"my family hates me because of you."

"okay?" he shrugged his shoulders, throwing his head back in amusement

"lay a finger on mia and you're dead." i grabbed his collar

"i'll die happy knowing she's miserable.. or dead."

"and i won't stop til she's dead or miserable."

MIA'S POV

i brushed my teeth, looking over at cain who was doing the same

he smudged a little toothpaste on my exposed stomach

rubbing it in circles with his finger

then wiping it off with a rag, laughing at his actions

"you're so corny." i sarcastically rolled my eyes, rinsing out my mouth in the sink

"what? i have to clean bunny's teeth." he pushed his hip against mine

gently bumping me over

"bunny doesn't even have teeth yet."

then the bathroom went quiet

"i just fed my child toothpaste then?" he widened his eyes, still playing along

i threw my used rag on his face, walking out of the bathroom

"i can't wait to do this forever with you." he walked behind me, sitting on the bed

"annoy me?" i crawled beside him, turning his tv on

"duh" he replied, laughing

and i couldn't help but join

"i can't imagine you changing a diaper." he said, rubbing my thigh

"if mio keeps up this killing spree, you're gonna have to keep imagining." i sighed, flipping through channels

he bit his lip, pulling me into his arms

my head resting on his chest

"don't think like that, we're gonna be alright." he kissed my forehead, rubbing my arm reassuringly

"we should move cain, it's getting dangerous here." i played with my fingers

he got off the bed, walking towards the door

"okay, i'll tell the others to get ready to move to anoth-"

"just us, cain."

he took his hand off the door handle, sighing

"are you sure?"

i nodded my head

he hesitated but then spoke

"alright, let's do it."
