i walked down the stairs, to a noisy home

the sounds of cooking and yelling filled the foyer

"going to the hospital" i said, grabbing a waffle

i parked in the car garage, and walked towards an elevator

my heels clicking against the cement

holding a bag with a change of clothes for cain

i was excited to get him out of this prison

i pressed the down button, doing a small dance as the elevator went down

i hummed as i walked through the busy building

gaining multiple stares from people in the hospital

maybe because i was dressed beyond average

i walked to the front office, guessing that's where i'm supposed to check in

"all these damn elevators" i mumbled, stepping on the one to go up

he turned around quickly

surprised that the door wasn't knocked on before being entered

and his shirt was off

"why didn't yo- mia?" he walked up to me, not even limping

"your side doesn't hurt?" i asked, looking at his stitched wound

"i fucking love your hair" he said, kissing my forehead

"you just get hotter and hotter" he said, then looked down at what i was wearing

he stared at my body

i can just imagine all the things he was thinking of

"let's get out of here" he said, grabbing the bag of clothes i packed

immediately changing

then he grabbed my wrist

striding down the hallway

"wait, i think i dropped my name tag" i said, forgetting i stuck it on his bag

he took his off and placed it on my mouth

then kept walking

i sat in the drivers seat, and he was in the passengers

"so where do you wanna eat?" i said, then faced him

and he was leaning over to kiss me

"hm?" he said, sitting back

"are you hungry?" i asked, again

"yes" he said, turning towards me

"for?"

"you" he chuckled, squeezing my thigh

"you'll rip your stitches" i said, removing his hand from my thigh

"i'll be gentle or at least try to be" he groaned, looking at my top

not even a couple seconds out of the hospital

i'm not shocked

"i got you a gift" i said, changing subjects

"if it's a bear that repeats i love you when you tap its foot i'm jumping out of the car mia"

and i laughed so hard, i almost crashed

"no it's in the backseat" i said, recovering from laughter

"get well soon" he read the card, out loud

and grabbed the flowers

"what if i don't want to be well?" he said, smelling the fresh flowers

"let's play doctor" he said, putting the flowers in the back

i pulled into the driveway

"my nonna and nonno are here" i said

but if they weren't..
