London, UK- 2016
After seeing the attack in the British Museum in London, Nish and Raz followed closely to the information they accessed due to hacking and facial recognition programmes as well as police reports. They knew that the stolen artefact was linked to Wakanda as they discovered it was made of vibranium. Digging even deeper, they found out the the thief was Klaue. Evaluating his every move, they came to discover that he was selling the vibranium to an American buyer in South Korea.
'We should probably inform T'Challa.' Raz signed. Nish responded with a nod before calling Okoye knowing that she was the best person to talk to due to T'Challa's busy first day as King.
"What is it?" Okoye asked straight to the point.
"Not even a hello, wow." Nish teased. After receiving no reply, she rolled her eyes. "I have the where about of a person of interest to you. His name is Ulysses Klaue. He broke into the British Museum and took a 7th Century mining tool that is actually of Wakandan origins meaning it is made from vibranium."
The line remained silent until Okoye spoke up. "I'll inform the King and call you back in 30 minutes." She ended the call leaving no room to reply.
Nish threw her phone to the sofa. "She's a bit rude isn't she. I like her." She laughed to herself. Raz just rolled his eyes as he continued to get further information.
The ex-assassins decided to part ways with the group of 'fugitives' after Bucky went under. They wanted to find the journals that Zola kept knowing full well that the serum that leads them to their nightmares is in there as well as further information that could be used against them such as notes about their brain tests. In this day and age, anyone could use these notes and figure out ways to control them if they got their hands on either of the assassins. They would be used as deadly weapons just as they were in HYDRA but this time, they wouldn't have a choice.
They had looked in the bases in Siberia and Sokovia but they found nothing. This has led them to where they are today, finding any HYDRA bases and stripping them clean before burning them down incase they had missed anything.
"I know it will be a long shot," Nish began to suggest. "But we should check out all the old S.H.I.E.L.D bases that HYDRA had infiltrated."
Raz nodded his head in agreement before signing. 'We'll check those bases out once all the HYDRA bases are cleared. But there are still so many to uncover as not all the bases were put on the data base. This makes me think that those secret bases are definitely hiding things that not even Alexander would have known about.'
Nish nodded before realising that she had an incoming call from Okoye. upon pressing answer, a hologram of T'Challa appeared in front of the twins.
Raz stood up and walked towards the blue image. Both the twins bowed their heads as a sign of respect despite the fact T'Challa would always tell them not to.
"I heard you two have some information for us." T'Challa opened the conversation.
"Yes we do Sir." Nish replied with. "A news article popped up explaining an old artefact has been stolen. I dug a little further into the story and using the security cameras, we have learnt that the artefact is of Wakandan origins and the robbery was carried out by none other than the thief Ulysses Klaue."
Okoye continued with the explanation. "We have learned Ulysses Klaue plans to sell the vibranium to an American buyer in South Korea tomorrow night." Nish nodded in agreement despite not being able to see Okoye.
T'Challa let the leaders all mumble to each other upon hearing the name of the thief. "Klaue has escaped our pursuits for almost 30 years. Not capturing him was perhaps my father's greatest regret. I wish to bring Klaue back here to stand trial."
"Wakanda does not need a warrior right now. We need a King." Voiced one of the tribe leaders.
W'Kabi interfered. "My parents were killed when he attacked. Not a day goes by when I do not think about what Klaue took from us, from me."
Okoye nodded in agreement."It's too great an opportunity to pass."
W'Kabi faced T'Challa. "Take me with you. We'll take him down together side by side, eh?"
T'Challa replied without any hesitation, "I need you here protecting the border."
W'Kabi nodded in understanding. "Then I ask, you kill him where he stands, or you bring him back to us."
T'Challa replied, "You have my word I will bring him back." He then looked around at the tribe leaders. "We will proceed with the mission."
He then turned to face the Holographic image of the twins who have not been able to see anyone else but were certainly listening. "Thank you both for this information. I'll be in contact with you soon." Only the three of them and Okoye knew what the future call would be about.
Nish and Raz both nodded before ending the call. "That was an intense meeting."
Raz replied to Nish with a shrug before getting back to his research. Nish rolled her eyes at him for his sassy response before going back to her own research.
About two weeks after the incident in the Museum, T'Challa had informed the two that there was going to be a jet coming to pick them up. The two of them immediately packed the few things they had which included a few items of clothing, weapons, electronics and photos. They then headed to the location that T'Challa had gave them.
After reaching the location, the two of them were greeted by T'Challa and Okoye. They all boarded the jet and headed straight for Wakanda.
The Wakandans refused to tell the twins why they were coming with them as they wanted them to be surprised. The jet landed in the middle of a field which was far away from the main city.
"Why have we landed here?" Nish asked as the doors opened.
T'Challa replied with a smirk, "You will see very soon."
The twins followed T'Challa and Okoye out of the jet and into a field which was occupied with a few huts and children playing around. There was a lake which accompanied the field in creating a beautiful and peaceful scenery away from the busy city.
The twins looked around in awe. They had never seen something so serene. They continued to walk around and admired the tranquil life of the farmers. Something then caught the eye of Raz.
It was a farmer who stood out from the rest. He was covered in Wakandan robes which concealed his stump where an arm should be. The figure had a mop of brown hair accompanied by a beard which hid his face. However, it didn't stop Raz from running towards the figure knowing exactly who it was.
Sensing that her twin was no longer standing next to her, Nish looked only to see her brother running towards a farmer. Upon studying further, she noticed who the farmer was and chased after Raz.
The farmer could hear the light footsteps of two people running towards him. He glanced up quickly before being tackled into a strong hug. Both of them fell to the floor. Nish then dived on top of them making sure to not miss out on the reunion.
Bucky then extended his only arm around the two if them. He had missed them both so much.
They were now back together and could live here in Wakanda in peace without anymore conflict. They could live the life they had always dreamed.
But of course, happiness for them could never be that easy.
No one could predict what was yet to come.
