The Raft, Atlantic Ocean- 2016
Nish sat in her cell. Her cell was in-between Scott and Sam's. She sat with her back leaning against the back wall and facing the glass that separated her and the door to get out. Her eyes remained glued to the floor.
Her mind kept travelling back to her twin. The last she saw of him was at the airport where she had been restrained and yanked onto a plane with her fellow 'inmates'. She needed to know that he was safe and not locked in a cell like she was.
Nish's eyes travelled to her escape route as she watched Tony walk in with his arm in a sling. She observed him as he began to survey the room. She could easily tell he was looking for cameras, that was the first thing she had done when she was dragged into here.
She continued to watch him as Clint began to clap.
"The Futurist, gentlemen!" He announced. "The Futurist is here! He sees all! He knows what's best for you, whether you like it or not." He finished with after dragging Tony's ego down.
"Give me a break, Barton." Tony stood in-front of his cell. "I had no idea they'd put you here. Come on."
Clint spat on the ground. "Yeah, well, you knew they'd put us somewhere, Tony."
"Yeah, but not some super-max floating ocean pokey. This place is for maniacs. This is a place for..." Tony was cut off.
"Criminals?" Clint rhetorically asked finishing his sentence. He stood up and walked to Tony. "Criminals, Tony. Think that's the word you're looking for." He looked Tony directly in the eye. "Right? That didn't used to mean me. Or Sam, or Wanda, or even Nish when she had freewill. But here we are." He listed trying to make Tony feel guilty.
"Because you broke the law." Tony reasoned with himself.
"Yeah."
"I didn't make you." He continued to reassure himself that what he did was right and they belonged in here for what they did.
"La, la, la, la, la..." Clint interrupted whilst taking a seat.
"You read it, you broke it. You're all grown up, you got a wife and kids." Tony knew he had struck a nerve. "I don't understand, why didn't you think about them before you chose the wrong side?"
"You gotta watch your back with this guy." He once again returned to glass as Tony walked away. He slammed his hands against it. "There's a chance he's gonna break it."
"Hank Pym always said you never can trust a Stark." Scott stated as Tony walked past his cell.
"Who are you?" Tony asked continuing to walk.
"Come on, man." He uttered disappointed.
He stood in-front of Nish's cell and made eye contact with her. This eye contact was held until he cleared his throat knowing that she wouldn't break it.
"You fell about 45 feet yet there isn't a single scratch on you." He gestured towards her body. "Why is that?"
Nish stood up and walked to him. Her strides were intimidating despite only being 11. Tony was thankful for the glass, he was scared of what she could do.
"You tell me where Raz is and I'll give you your answer." She voiced in a non-negotiating tone.
"He ran away after you were dragged in the jet." Tony sighed knowing it was better to jump straight to the truth.
Knowing that he wasn't lying as his heartbeat remained consistent, she leaned into the glass closer to whisper as much as she could so Ross couldn't overhear. "I can heal in seconds." She didn't talk about her vibranium skeleton; no one needed to know that yet. She knew Tony just assumed she broke her bones but they fixed in seconds.
