Avengers Compound, New York- 2023

"How's your Aunt?" Hayley asked through FaceTime whilst Nish was lying on her bed.

"Yeah, she's feeling much better." Nish lied. She had told Hayley that her Auntie was sick so she had to go back to the UK to make sure she was okay. It was the only logical reason that she could think of when Hayley asked why she wasn't at school.

"That's good news right?" Hayley asked with a smile. "I really miss you at school. Ranting to Ben and Marco about Mrs Grey isn't the same as venting out to you." Nish giggled at the comment.

"I miss you too. It's boring here with nothing but my cousin to entertain me. He just sits there and pretends I don't exist." Nish's story was very convincing which is why Hayley believed it.

"Any thought about your birthday yet?" Hayley asked keeping the conversation going.

"With everything that has been going on I haven't sorry." Nish replied. At least that part was true.

"I'm sorry," Hayley sympathised. "I shouldn't have asked. I can't imagine what you are going through."

"It's okay." Nish said not wanting her to feel guilty. "I promise I'll think about it."

"No." Hayley demanded. "Take your time, if the present is late, it's late. I would rather it be perfect and late then rushed and on time."

Nish laughed at her attempt of trying to sound like she was commanding Nish.

Then a knock on the door was heard.

"I'm sorry Hayley, my mum just got home from the Hospital and I need to check on her." Nish began to walk to the door.

"Of course you go and do that." Hayley understood. "I'll just scream at this biology homework until I fall asleep." Nish responded with a laugh. "Love you."

"Love you too." Nish responded before ending the call. She knew that Hayley only said it in a friendship way instead of a romantic way. She opened the door and was greeted by Nat.

"Hey," Nat said thinking carefully trying to approach the topic carefully. "Do you want to go into the dance studio for a chat." Nish looked at her quizzically.

"Okay." She agreed as she hesitantly followed Nat into the place that she felt the safest.

They both sat down next to each other and faced the windows that displayed the sunset kissing the forest that surrounded the area. It was a calm and peaceful sight.

"We figured out the Time Heist." Nat stated.

"What's the catch." Nish asked knowing that there will be a 'but' as it was just the two of them in the room she felt at peace in.

Sighing knowing there is no way to avoid the answer any longer, Nat went straight to the point.

"We figured the best way to get the Mind Stone is in 2012 before HYDRA leaves the building with it."

"That's suicide!" Nish exclaimed as she snapped her head to Nat. "The three of us would come in and infiltrate and kill anyone in our way, HYDRA or not."

"We've found a way that could work." Nat continued to stare at the sunset. "We believe we can take the stone and come back here before 15:30."

Nish shook her head. "But what about that timeline," she took a gulp. "We may have the stone but they wouldn't. They would storm in there and kill everyone in that building until they got their hands on something that wouldn't be there. Then the mission would be a failure and we would be put through things unimaginable. The stone means so much to HYDRA. I can't let that happen."
