Some may say she's funny
And has quirky sense of humor,
And, though, I admit I laughed hard with her, too.
But I couldn’t bring myself
To stare at her longer than two minutes
For I know I’d hurt myself into seeing past her orbs.
What I see hidden beneath her smile
Is a woman who is so broken and damaged,
Who lost the once juvenile and youthfulness.
I pray that she’ll never lose hope,
That she’ll always come close to You, Lord,
That she’ll have her source of strength from You.

Seeing her pictures stored inside my phone, and seeing her ‘my day’ on Facebook, I couldn’t help but write a poem.
