There was an unusual mood hovering above the stars as they took their stages. Extras walked around in the background as Yeonsoo and Chunyoung came face to face with each other, a scene of longing.

"Are you hurt?," Chunyoung asked, deepening his voice. His eyes were slightly watery but his facial muscles remained.

Yeonsoo made no eye contact with him. It seemed only her mouth was the one moving, "...This is just everyday to me. I watched my comrades around me die as each day passed. I've lost the feeling of grieving over life, but this...," a tear fell down her face as Chunyoung walked to her and pulled her head to him, hugging her.

"Cut!," the director abruptly shouted even if the scene hadn't ended yet, "This scene is supposed to be a short one, and you guys are making it seem sweet. Taeoh and Yeoreum are just partners with a small hint of romance. And also, Yeonsoo, your line delivery is nice but you overdid your portrayal of being numb. Give her more expressions and human qualities. And Chunyoung... your performance has been quite bleak compared to how you were the other days. You're less expressive now. This should not just be an eye-candy film."

"Yes, sorry!," the leads apologized that the staff had to retake their shots.

"Director Gong must be really stressed these days. He had such a high regard for you, is there something wrong?," Yeonsoo asked Chunyoung very casually as the crew began packing up their things around them.

"...No," he said firmly.

Yeonsoo snickered, "There definitely is. Is it because of what I said yesterday? I thought we agreed not to mind that."

"You brought that up okay, not me. I never said-"

"You feel bad for me now, don't you? You're holding back out of respect because I'm the senior in acting and you're just a rookie."

Chunyoung was at a loss.

She smiled, "Please don't. It's unprofessional of you to do so. And I won't like it if your actions are because of pity towards me. Do what you always do. I won't feel disheartened once the movie releases and people compare our skills and experiences."

Chunyoung kept his lips sealed because she guessed him already.

Yeonsoo took a deep breath, "Why the serious face? Our roles are reversed now, you're the one who should smile," she smirked, walking away as he caught up beside her.

"Do you like Jaeryeong?," Chunyoung asked her so suddenly but also so coldly, "why did you ask me to invite Jaeryeong for dinner today?"

Yeonsoo looked at him strangely, "Of course he has to be invited. Why? Is there something wrong with that? I initially thought it'd be nice to eat with you once since we're the leads and frankly, you have to admit we're not close. We're finally filming outside the center anyways. But since your friend is here, we have to invite him too."

He thought he misheard it, "Park Jaeryeong is here?," he looked around confused, "Were you seeing things? He isn't. He had a schedule today. He just texted me that he's on the way."

Yeonsoo chuckled, "I didn't know you could joke. Then who was it that I spoke to?."

"What?"

Yeonsoo stopped walking, "Oh no. Maybe he went home already. He came empty-handed so I thought he was just going to watch you until we got off work. Hey did he really go home? Oh my god I actually asked him to come just for a meal. Chun-," she looked to her side to see Taeoh's actor disappear, "Oh. Where did he go? Darn, he's so annoying."
