She froze on the spot and kept her head down, her fingers trembling when her chest thumped faster onto its walls, the hot blood gushing to her face. She didn't know what to do except swear to herself over and over again at her stupidity for being careless on the one day that she had to stay alert. She waited for something to happen, not wanting to make the next move, but he didn't cooperate as his lips were shut as well.
"Park Jaeryeong!," Chunyoung called out loud and Hyojin sensed the man in front of her moving slightly.
With her other hand, she held the top of her cap and looked at Chunyoung. He was out of breath from running, but he twisted his face inwards and frowned hard, looking at the sight that everyone who knew, feared.
Yeonsoo suddenly came from the other side of the studio and saw her, then called her out, "Kim Hyojin! Chun- oh. Nevermind," she turned away seeing Chunyoung was already there too, but looked back seeing the scene of Hyojin and Chunyoung's member together while staff witnessed without doing anything.
"Kim Hyojin?," he asked himself softly, but she heard so.
Hyojin's eyes looked back down, red and watery, looking down with an internal cry for help, but only she could help herself. She picked everything up to her arm and without even looking at him, not even once seeing how he looked after 6 years, she got up and he did too. She felt the talk of people around her grow even more and she got scared, "Thank you," it took her everything to say that to someone like him, still in nothing close to expressiveness.
Chunyoung walked up to them and tried to turn his attention to him, "What happened to you?"
He ignored him and stared at Hyojin whose back kept moving further and further, "That person..."
Chunyoung waited, but he didn't finish his sentence, and Chunyoung contemplated whether to give a lame excuse or feign ignorance and change subjects, "See, this is why you should've called first. You're not that used to the set. How did you even bump into her? She's our respectable First Camera Assistant, so you're really in a tight spot now," he snickered and hid his anxiousness with a smirk.
"What?"
"What do you mean? Why? Are you... interested in her?," it was the start of his childish mind games accusation, in an attempt to make the persistent Kang Min give up.
Min was caught off guard "What do you mean?! Your words are really dangerous, geez."
"Then give up firsthand, she has a boyfriend," Chunyoung's throat twisted at that sudden scenario he made up on the spot.
"Hey you're making it as if I'm- whatever. There's no point in arguing with you," Min flapped his hands.
"He won't mind a lot for now," Chunyoung sighed in relief.
"What?!," Hyerim's voice screeched from the telephone, "You met Park-?!"
Jooah was standing behind the studio with her sight on the rusty steamed trained set, the wooden walls around it already up to 25 percent done. She whisper-shouted, her hand cupped to her mouth and phone, "Hey! Keep it down!"
"S-s-so what are you going to do now?!," Hyerim stuttered in disbelief.
"Me? I'm going to jump in this artificial frozen lake set in front of me."
"Hey! Okay I get how Chunyoung is quick so you have no choice. But, for Park Jaeryeong, at all cost, deny it. He seems like the slow confused type from what you say, so just avoid him," Hyerim rapped.
"I get it, I was also thinking of doing the s-," from the side, she saw Chunyoung on the path looking around with frustration and stress written all over his face, most definitely looking for her, "Hey hey Yoo Chunyoung coming, talk later, bye," she quickly ended the call and fixed up her defensive expression.
