Author's note: There is going to be some gore but you can skip it as I have a little heading when it begins and when it ends. This is again a very rushed since I have had nine different piece's of work and I have just received more. It just talks about HoO a bit and sets up for Twilight.

Bella's POV:

My sister's been acting off ever since she came back from Camp Half-blood and I don't know why. Mom told me to leave it, so, I have been but, although I know Kat does still care about me and all, however, when nobody's around she starts to stare at the corner of her room with no emotion on her face. I've tried asking her about it but she just changes the subject.

I wish she would make it easy for me.

Who would make what easier?

Argh, what the hell was that. The voice must have guessed my question because it said.

Don't panic, it's Kat, I put a mind link between us so if one of us needs help, the other could just send a message through the link.

Oh right, but how do we control it? I asked hoping it had worked.

You have to almost imagine yourself talking, but in your head of course.

I did what she told me to do.

Like this?

Exactly.

Well, I guess that's useful. Luckily, though, it seemed that kat had completely forgotten about what I had first said as she didn't question it.

At school, I wasn't very popular since I wasn't the cheerleader type nor the gossiping type so I mainly kept with my sister and Sienna who had finally decided to go out into the mortal world.

Sienna was one year above my sister and I, but she didn't get along with many mortals either. I never understood why though, kat and Sienna were drop dead gorgeous, any guy would be lucky to have them, but they just hung out with me. I just guess the other girls were jealous.

Mom was completely head over heals for Phil, he was pretty nice though he really didn't know anything about how to take care of teenagers. Phil was a baseball player who travelled around a lot, mom would stay home with us, but Kat and I could see it made her sad.

Luckily, there was one piece of exciting news. Phil had proposed to mom and were now getting married. Although that meant that Kat and I had to tag along to go clothes shopping, as long as mom was happy, I was happy.

The wedding did put a smile on kat's face which was good, she hadn't smiled for months upon months. After a whole year of what seemed like endless misery, my sister seemed to be going back to normal and I couldn't be happier.

Soon, though, the misery returned when Phil had to go away again and mom had to stay, once again with us. I needed to come up with some sort of arrangement.

Katerina's POV:

I was just sitting in my room reading through some new sword techniques that I got from Chiron, when I was interrupted.

Hey, Kat I've got an idea.

We were seventeen and Phil and Renee were married. I already knew were this was going.

Hi, what is it?

I tried pretending to be clueless.

You know how moms been miserable about having to stay with us by ourselves, while Phil gets to travel. Well, I was thinking, why don't we stay with Charlie for a little bit, until we graduate.
