Everyone ran toward the Homestead. Newt, Thomas, Charlotte, and I were the only people who were allowed to see Alby apparently. Including Med-jacks.
Alby was sitting up in his bed.
"Alby." Newt said.
Alby didn't reply. He stayed staring off into space.
I exchanged glances with Charlotte.
"If Ben recognized you, see it Alby does." Charlotte whispered.
I nodded.
"Alby. Can you tell us anything about the Changing?" I asked. I didn't expect to get an answer.
Alby looked at me.
"You were there." he whispered.
"Excuse me," Newt asked, giving me a weird look. "How was she there?"
"She's one of 'em, Newt. She and Thomas. They put us here." Alby said.
I gave a scared look toward Charlotte.
"Katelyn, is that true?" Newt asked.
"How would I know? I don't know any of this." I said.
"Alby are you sure it was her?" Newt asked me.
"Ben recognized her. He went through the Changing. I know her. She did this to us." Alby said.
"Was it really that bad?" Charlotte asked.
"She did it to you, too! How could you be friends with her?" Alby asked.
"Alby. Calm down." Newt said.
"No! She did this to us!" Alby yelled.
Newt pushed me out of the Homestead.
After calming Alby down, he came out.
"Tell me everything you know. No lies." Newt said.
