She was awakened by a blinding white light, Raine slowly opened her eyes to look around. She tried to get up, but just couldn't, as if her whole body was now glued to the sheets. Raine didn't know how to react, but she knew where she was. It's a hospital room for sure, but why? What happened?Unsure of the situation, Raine looked around once more and found Bleu or... Mikhail? He was sitting next to her, laying his head restlessly on her hospital bed. He looked as if he hadn't rested for days. His eyes closed, still were flinching, he must have been dreaming.
"Raine!" He gasped jolting up from what seemed to be a nightmare. He froze then looked back at her, unconcious. Lying peacefully, but that can't be right. She can see him, how could he not? Bleu sat down again, catching breathes heavily. He gently took her cold hands into his, lacing her fingers with his. "Wake up, Tulip..." He begged, breaking a tear on her hand. She wanted to wipe his tears but she couldn't even move. "I'm okay... Bleu..." She thought.
And so suddenly she woke up again...
Last night's dream still hadn't sunk in on Raine. Every time she'd shut her eyes, flashbacks from the dream kept haunting her. Although she didn't quite understand what it was about, the memories held so much pain in them she can't even explain
Mr. Bruxen : Good morning! See you later, Raine.
Me: Good morning too. See you then. After a quick reply, she tucked her phone away and got out of bed to prepare for the day. As she looked at the mirror, she couldn't help but feel irritated by the bags in her eyes and traces of tears that had kept her restless these days.
And for the majority of the day, Raine tried forgetting all about the dream she just had. Although she had already grown accustomed to her nightmares, this one is different, even realistic. She spent the majority of the day in front of her computer screen working on some emails that she forgot about the time.
"Raine?" Mikhail said cautiously, opening the door of her office. "Yes?'' Raine answered without even looking up from the workload of paperworks piled on her desk. "Uhhhh..." Mikhail murmured walking closer. "Oh, good afternoon sir!'' Raine smiled warmly before turning to go back on her reading.
"Raine?"
"That'll be Miss Buenez, sir." Raine replied coldly, her eyes still glued on the screen. "Yeah, but..." Mikhail blurted nervously. "I don't care. We're in the office, call me Miss Buenez." Raine said assertively. "Why were you here again? You didn't have an appointment, I checked." She stated. "Yeah, but the date?" Mikhail smiled, scratching the back of his head. "After office hours."
"Oh! Okay. I'd be willing to wait" He smiled ecstatically chasing her stares from the side of the desk.. "And I'm going to work overtime, so good luck on that." Raine smiled sarcastically.
"Thanks." Mikhail smiled warmly as he rested an arm on the desk then cupped his face with one hand.He sat still in front of her for what seemed to be already half an hour ,watching her admiringly as if she was a movie. Then suddenly he got up and without saying a word left in a hurry. "He must have been bored. Knew he'd left sooner." Raine shrugged, taking notice of his disappearance.
"I'm back!" Mikhail screamed ecstatically as soon as he walked inside her office. "You came back." Raine said still not breaking contact with her computer screen. "Oh, did you miss me already?" He smirked, toppling over at his previous seat. "Not a chance." Raine replied coldly. Mikhail just shook his head and smiled before putting two paper bags on a small space that was left unoccupied by mountains of folders.
