"Raine! Thank goodness you're here!" Khalil exclaimed as soon as she entered the lobby hallway. "Wait, I'm not late, what are you talking about?" Raine said looking at her wrist watch. "Plus there isn't anything special planned for today, right?!" She continued walking side by side with her friend.

"Well... there's someone waiting for you in your office." He said nervously. "Who?! Mikhail?" Her face immediately lit up with excitement as they walked to the office.

"Raine! Oh, what took you so long?!" Manuel greeted standing up from a chair. "Ah, Manuel... good morning too." She smiled tight-lipped with a bit of sarcasm. "You weren't expecting me, huh? Ouchieee" Manuel jokingly said as he bit his lips, almost whispering Mikhail's name.

"I think she was looking forward to Mr. Bruxen instead! If you need anything sir, just tell me or Raine" Khalil interrupted before turning to leave the two of them. "Yeah sure!" Raine sneered, rolling her eyes at him.

"So what brings you here early in the morning?" She chuckled, setting her purse on the desk. "Well, Mikey wanted you to know he left—"

"Left?!" Raine repeated strikingly wide-eyed. "Not that left! Like he left for Rotterdam!" Manuel chuckled looking at her with amusement. "It's not like I care!" She denied biting her lips. "Yeahhh... as if you care, right?"

"Right! So when is he coming back? Aren't you going with him?" Raine asked almost immediately with eagerness burning in her eyes. "I'm staying to help out with the branch here—" He hadn't even finished when Raine cut him off short. "And when is he coming back, again?"

"In a few days." Manuel answered. "Few days? How many?" She asked. "I thought you didn't care?!" He teased hollering around her. "Yeah, I didn't!"  Raine defended, shaking herself. "Okay!" He smiled sarcastically, putting his hands mid air.

"But why were you here again? The next meeting was supposed to be on Wednesday, we're still working on a few details before..."

"Of course, I know!" Manuel cackled as his head back laughing. "What's so funny?!" Raine hissed plopping down on her chair. "Nothing!" Manuel smirked playfully, extending her a bouquet of tulips and a paper bag. "And this is?" She looked over intrigued. "Your HUBBY just told me to give you this." He teased, emphasizing the hubby.

Her eyes immediately brighten looking at the very delicate fresh bright pink tulips in front of her. Slowly, Raine reached for the contents inside the bag and instantly felt what seemed to be a card of paper stock. "I totally didn't read it!" Manuel raised, smiling cunningly. "Oh you did! I'm telling on you!" She snorted while opening the card.

Oops! You found me! Now you'll have to live with my nagging cuz I won't leave you alone from now on! Take care and keep safe.

Your Future Doctor,
Mikhail 💙

"No. You found me, Bleu." Raine smiled to herself as images of Mikhail appeared back in front of her eyes. A blush grew in her face, recalling everything about last night. The beach, the waves, him, them.

"What a romantic! Pfft unbelievable!" Manuel gushed, pulling her out of a trance. "Don't you have other places to go?!" She smiled sarcastically. "Now that you've mentioned it—"

"Good! Now, go!" Raine glared, pointing her index finger to the door. "Woahhh! Easy there." Manuel giggled, crossing his legs before laying back his head on the chair. "What?" She asked uninterested. "Your friend..." He started, tapping his right foot intensely. "Lara?" Raine filled in with a wide grimace in her face
