Perhaps life is not as complicated as it looks like. It turns out the secret to happiness is to pay attention to the life you want to create. Slowly, making small moments of simple pleasures with the people who make you want contentment and crave growth at the same time.Mikhail looked at Raine naively. She was watching the kids gather around while handing out pages from a newspaper. He was discreetly walking backwards to the corner when Raine noticed him and grabbed by the wrist. "Hey! Where do you think you're going?" She squealed with a grimace.
"Uhhh I don't have a partner so..."
"Nonsense! What do you call me?!" Raine giggled, dragging him back at the center. "Okay! Are you all ready kids?"
"Yessss!!!"
"Let's cue the music!"
The music started, blasting the whole party to a mood. Soon, kids were dancing their hearts out.
"Dance Mikey!!!" She chipped, moving her hips along the strong disco rhythm.
"I—I don't dance!!!" Mikhail replied, shouting from the loud music. "Just move and feel the music!" Raine giggled, holding his hand as they glided in rhythm with her foot tapping.
The party was alive. Even the social workers are dancing with the children. Mikhail then began enjoying himself as the roaring of the crowd and music that thrummed straight through their bodies. Sweat flicked up into his hair with the start of every dance move. Raine started nestling her hands around his neck, forcing him into movements this way and that.
Suddenly, there was a silence. The music stopped, making everyone on stage run in panic towards their newspaper laying on the ground.
"To the newspaper!" Raine shouted, gleefully tugging a pinch of Mikhail's costume.
The children stayed on their newspaper for awhile and no one was eliminated from round one. "Alright! Let's fold our papers!" She instructed.
After three more rounds, the newspaper was folded into a smaller piece making it harder to stand on for both partners. Then, there were only four pairs including Raine and Mikhail, ecstatically and attentively prancing with the music.
Once again the music came to a halt, making everyone rush to the newspapers. Raine, in her competitive state, jolted to Mikhail, wrapping her legs around his waist as she made a jump for it. To his surprise he caught Raine mid-air just in time.
"Goodness me!" She sighed in relief. "I was never for a second, I thought you're not gonna be able to catch me."
"Told you, I won't let you fall. Literally and figuratively." He smirked, pressing her against him as he firmly held her back. Mikhail was now standing with one foot on the newspaper.
"Such a charmer!" Raine mocked, rolling her eyes.
To their dismay, they were soon eliminated as Mikhail lost balance, tippy toeing with all his might. Shortly, there were only two pairs competing in the Stop Dance.
"Go guys! Oh! Oh! You're foot! Hold your balance!" Raine cheered on. "Lean on more!" Mikhail remarked, interestingly, caught in the game.
"Oooh! That was close! Guess we have a winner!" She announced, walking towards a pair of two girls. "Hey there! What are your names?"
"I'm Amalia."
"Hello, I'm Lily"
"Woahhh! Amalia and Lily, your balance and flexibility are something!"
